Attractively situated in the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, Rinn Gion Shirakawa is set 600 metres from Samurai Kembu Kyoto, 1.2 km from Shoren-in Temple and 1.9 km from Kyoto International Manga... Everything was great about the hotel! Most hotels in Japan are small, but this was spacious! The amenities were great, staff was helpful. Will definitely stay here if I return to Kyoto.

The Gate Hotel Kyoto Takasegawa by Hulic features a restaurant, fitness centre, a bar and shared lounge in Kyoto. Great location and a cool vibe as an old school that was repurposed into a hotel. Perfect for starting and ending day trips to different areas around Kyoto. I definitely plan on going back next time I’m in Kyoto. They also had a special geisha event for residents which made it even more memorable. Definitely wish I took more advantage of the 3rd floor patio area, fire pit, and drinks.

Cross Hotel Kyoto is set in Kawaramachi Sanjo and provides rooms with warm wooden decor featuring Kyoto-style architecture and free WiFi. The location of the hotel is awesome because you can walk to restaurants and shopping mall. While you can expect noise in the city, there was loud music coming from an adjacent club on a Saturday night. Breakfast was excellent as you have lots of choices. The restaurant provides nice views of the street. This property as well has to bar service at night as the restaurant is only open for breakfast. Then only for dinner on Saturdays. However, plenty of restaurants around this location. The room was a good size even with a king size bed. The tv cannot access Netflix or You Tube. BBC as the only English Channel. Staff was professional and accommodating.

Hotel Okura's elegant rooms boast spectacular views of Kyoto against the backdrop of the Higashiyama Mountains. Hotel Okura has to be the higlight of our trip. They did everything right, including upgrading our room for free, because of our honeymoon. Would definitely come back and recommend to everyone!
