Mark and Abby are absolutely phenomenal hosts! They've brought on some excellent staff as well who were attentive and great company during our evenings at the lodge. The cooking is fantastic and we felt very well taken care of. The lodge is also steps away from the hill — at most a 5 minute leisurely walk! Rentals are available through the lodge as well as life passes to both Madarao and neighbouring Tangram. Couldn't have asked for a better stay!

With Tsugaike Kogen Ski Area reachable in 9 km, Sakka Sanso features accommodation, a restaurant, a garden, a shared lounge and a bar. I loved how cozy and comfortable this Ryokan was. Everything is well-maintained and clean. We visited during winter because we really wanted to try skiing. The owners helped us find our way around, from where to rent gears and equipment to suitable skiing spots for beginners. They also picked us up at the Happo Terminal Bus Station for free, and contacting them was not an issue because they ensured they would be on time. I would also like to mention the mini library section. Although we can't read in Japanese, we enjoyed it and were able to find our favorite Japanese anime comics. Additionally, we opted for breakfast, and it was really delicious and healthy! Every day, they served us with a different set of meals.

Pension Ringo-no Ki is a completely non-smoking property located in Hakuba. Free WiFi access is available in this lodge. There is a hairdryer, free toiletries and slippers on site. Yoshi and his wife are very welcoming, every time when we entered into the pension. The place is very clean and bed is comfortable. It is also in a great location where you can walk to Echoland to get food & drinks, as well as a min walking distance to free shuttle to a few ski resorts. There is also paid delicious breakfast at the pension as additional. Highly recommended and we would come back here again next time!

Le Bocage – Hakuba Echoland Chalets are situated in Echoland, a popular nightlife site where more than 30 bars and restaurants can be found. The property offers free in-room WiFi and on-site parking. It was great for our family. It had all the needed facilities like washing machine and a kitchen and the location is very nice .

Situated in Hakuba in the Nagano region, with Happo-One Ski Resort and Hakuba Happo Bus Terminal nearby, Pension Belnina features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as... the owner Yutakasan is the best I have so far. he’s very welcoming and assisted us with whatever we need during our stay (from helping us to book for a taxi in the middle of the night, to lend me some of the skiing equipment) & the location is very near to the slope shuttle bus stop, the property is clean, warm, cozy and very homey. the breakfast was execellent! they also have a private onsen in the property. super highly recommended to stay here!
