Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated The Talbot Inn provides accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. It is located 10 km from Blenheim Palace and features a housekeeping service. Pleasant service, clean and modern bathroom, pleasant atmosphere in the pub.

Sandford Meadow Guest House in Oxford provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a shared lounge. We loved staying with our hosts who were so engaging and helpful. We left the car behind to walk the 5 mins to the bus stop to get the bus to Oxford one day, and drove another day to the nearby Park & Ride. Wonderful breakfast and great hosts. Lovely and quiet home with a shared bathroom but the bedroom had plenty of room for us. We would stay here again.

Boasting garden views, Cranberry Cottage offers accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 23 km from University of Oxford. This lovely accommodation exceeded our expectations! Having arrived in the dark we managed to get a glimpse of the front room. At the front door we were greeted by the lovely hosts, Sue and Brendan who took us through. The house is simply unique and very beautiful. It has 3 floors (and a basement for the hosts use only). The front room had a very home-from-home feel. Sue showed us the kitchen which was amazing - wooden beams and original wooden doors but also a very modern feel to it. She then took us up to our room which was in the roof of house so it had a low ceiling and a small window. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was very clean and tidy. We had a little heater in the room which came in handy during the night and morning especially because of the recent cold spell. Breakfast was superb, the table was laid out for us complete with homemade bread (which was a wonderful treat) and condiments, cereals, yoghurts, juice and hot drinks. It was just a case of help ourselves. We have friends in Wallingford and every so often meet up with them for evenings out. It's always been difficult in the past to find reasonable accommodation but not any more, this is now our go to place and with hosts like Sue and Brendan we couldn't have found anywhere better.

Featuring a garden and views of garden, The Old School, Idbury, OX7 6RU is a bed and breakfast situated in a historic building in Chipping Norton, 31 km from Blenheim Palace. A lovely country location. The room was big and comfy. The room had a separate ground level entrance. The host is very nice indeed, and the breakfast was wonderful.

Royal Oak Ramsden features a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Ramsden. This 4-star inn offers free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is located 17 km from Blenheim Palace. What a gem! Lovely staff, delightful premises, luxurious room, incredible food... We came with our dog and received a marvellous welcome. The chef outdid himself (the best chips we've ever had). And we were lucky to be here in the run-up to Christmas. The whole downstairs was decked out with incredible decorations. A work of art. We'll be back again for sure.

Featuring a garden, Guest House B&B is situated in Oxford, within 46 km of Newbury Racecourse. Really excellent. You get a detatched seperate area all to your self, including bath room and kitchen. You can also control the heating all by yourself. Milk, tea and coffee was kindly provided, as well as a dedicated parking space :)

The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choices. The garden is well kept and we spent many happy hours there with drinks and cocktails, all served by the friendly staff. The room had a large very comfortable bed, plenty of tea and coffee facilities and powerful shower.
