As of February 2022 our Car Parking facilities are back in operation. Our car park is limited and is on a first come first served basis. Breakfast was excellent with high quality local produce. Rooms clean with good tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel is central to Cromer and has great views.

The Maltings has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Weybourne. Offering a bar, the property is located within 21 km of Blickling Hall. The property is stunning in an understated way, made up of a main house and converted stables and what was presumably once a grain store. The renovation has been done sympathetically and in a classic style. It is homely, but classy.

The Fishmongers Tavern, a property with a garden and a bar, is located in Sheringham, less than 1 km from Sheringham Beach, 20 km from Blickling Hall, as well as 47 km from Houghton Hall. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The food, dinner and breakfast was amazing and varied with many local food options and catered well for Gluten Free guests. The room was clean and spacious with good tea and coffee making facilities and a good selection of biscuits. Lovely beer garden.

Set in North Lopham, Kings Head features a garden, restaurant, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property. Only stopped of late for one night stay.the owners are really nice people and the whole place is just fabulous, from the lovely spotless clean rooms to the grounds of the property.i would of stayed another night as the beds were so comfy.we had everything in the room the owners really have thought of everything.

The Crown Inn, a property with a bar, is situated in Gayton, 16 km from Houghton Hall, 11 km from Castle Rising Castle, as well as 12 km from Castle Acre Castle. I was pleasantly surprised how quiet it was, given that it was a pub. I was expecting a lot of noise in a pub on a Saturday night, but it didn't happen. The bar doesn't play music or TV and the customers weren't very loud (though the rooms do overlook the beer garden, so you can hear some talking if you open the windows). Room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were super-friendly, helpful, and polite. It's in a convenient location, not too far from the main roads and the coast. Probably the best room in a pub I've ever had, and definitely on my list of 'places to stay when I go birding in Norfolk' from now on!

Located in Grimston, the recently renovated The Old Bell B&B offers accommodation 13 km from Houghton Hall and 7.1 km from Castle Rising Castle. It was fabulous, decor was beautiful, hosts super friendly and the recommendations were spot on!!! Breakfast was included and delicious… Don’t go past this one!!! I’ve already recommended to friends.

The Dower House has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Fakenham, 21 km from Houghton Hall. It is located 27 km from Blickling Hall and offers a housekeeping service. We had a lovely weekend here. Good location for seeing lots of Norfolk. Elizabeth is a lovely host and the breakfast was very good.

Situated in Banham and only 42 km from The Apex, Bluebell Barn features accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. Superb breakfast . Spacious self contained accommodation in lovely countryside setting . Friendly helpful hosts. Fab brownies . Good pub’s nearby for meals .

The Ship Inn, a property with a bar, is located in Weybourne, 41 km from Houghton Hall, 12 km from Blakeney Point, as well as 14 km from Cromer Pier. Excellent English breakfast, lots of choice.
