Less than 350 metres from the seafront, No. 33 Huntstanton is a boutique establishment, stylishly decorated offering room-only accommodation. Easiness of access with key code and key. Very comfy and beautifully decorated room. The breakfast in the cupboard. simple but tasty.

As of February 2022 our Car Parking facilities are back in operation. Our car park is limited and is on a first come first served basis. interesting old building with a history and great location

The Fishmongers Tavern, a property with a garden and a bar, is located in Sheringham, less than 1 km from Sheringham Beach, 20 km from Blickling Hall, as well as 47 km from Houghton Hall. We stayed for the weekend and had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. The food was locally sourced with the seafood and smoked fish coming from the owner’s smokery and shop. Excellent menu choice and quality of food. The hotel itself is quite newly refurbished with well appointed bar, dining rooms and excellent bedrooms. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, with recommendations on what to see in the local area. Would definitely stay again and would travel to Sheringham just for their amazing Christmas lunch menu, had I not had other plans!

Set in North Lopham, Kings Head features a garden, restaurant, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property. A perfect little country pub stay with a personable service from hosts Louise & Martin. We chose this accommodation to stay the night before a day at Snetterton race circuit which is just 7 mins up the lanes from here - nowhere is closer! We arrived early evening on a Sunday and kitchen was closed but Martin suggested we could get a take away in and even provided us with cutlery and crockery - very accommodating indeed. Rooms were out the back in converted stables, lovely and clean, comfy and a quiet nights sleep. Will 100% stay again, thank you very much.

The Crown Inn, a property with a bar, is situated in Gayton, 16 km from Houghton Hall, 11 km from Castle Rising Castle, as well as 12 km from Castle Acre Castle. I was pleasantly surprised how quiet it was, given that it was a pub. I was expecting a lot of noise in a pub on a Saturday night, but it didn't happen. The bar doesn't play music or TV and the customers weren't very loud (though the rooms do overlook the beer garden, so you can hear some talking if you open the windows). Room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were super-friendly, helpful, and polite. It's in a convenient location, not too far from the main roads and the coast. Probably the best room in a pub I've ever had, and definitely on my list of 'places to stay when I go birding in Norfolk' from now on!

Located in Grimston, the recently renovated The Old Bell B&B offers accommodation 13 km from Houghton Hall and 7.1 km from Castle Rising Castle. Lovely friendly staff. Beautifully decorated rooms and very comfy beds. The room and bathroom was completely spotless. We had such a lovely stay at the Old Bell and we would 100% stay again. Couldn't recommend enough.

Set in Thurlton and only 14 km from Bungay Castle, Church Farm offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. A most beautiful peaceful serene setting in Suffolk countryside. Breakfast was amazing, choices were excellent and the little intimate dining room was delightful!

The Dower House has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Fakenham, 21 km from Houghton Hall. It is located 27 km from Blickling Hall and offers a housekeeping service. On arrival I was given a warm welcome by Elizabeth, who owns the property. Breakfast is excellent with nothing spared. Elizabeth is very informative of the village and surrounding area. I was there for some bird watching and Dower House is well situated for all the local reserves. Mottey, Elizabeth's young black Labrador, is a lovely, friendly dog. All in all I had a great stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone who visits the area. There is a small shop and post office in the village and Fakenham has plenty of supermarkets, shops, restaurants and take-aways.

Situated in Banham and only 42 km from The Apex, Bluebell Barn features accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. Beautiful place, we were made to feel so welcome.

The Ship Inn, a property with a bar, is located in Weybourne, 41 km from Houghton Hall, 12 km from Blakeney Point, as well as 14 km from Cromer Pier. Quiet room, lovely location, friendly staff, superb breakfast. I stayed 3 nights. A lot of thought, care and attention go into making The Ship Inn a lovely place to stay.
