Charming Studio near Rotsee Lucerne Kitchen/WiFi/Wasching machine offers accommodations in Lucerne, 2 miles from Lion Monument and 2.4 miles from KKL Culture and Convention Center Lucerne. The place was perfect for a family stay. It had comfortable beds and all the necessary amenities. We could cook a meal there as various kitchen utensils were provided. I liked the cups and plates, red with white dots, very cheerful. The Italian coffee maker was a blessing, too. The bathroom was clean and nicely designed. It was equipped with a washing machine which we didn't use, because we only stayed for two nights. The check-in/out was unproblematic. The owners are very friendly and easy to contact. We also appreciated the free parking space outside.

Opened in early 2013 after a complete renovation, Hotel Lux in Emmenbrücke is just 3.7 mi from Lucerne. It offers free WiFi and free parking. Breakfast was very good. The bathroom was of bigger size than expected. The reception staff was exceptionally supportive and cooperative. They always welcomed me and provided all kind of support. After check out I requested to keep my luggage at reception and they did it happily. I would like to thank all the hotel staff.

Beautiful city with plenty to do and many places to train to. We were here in the winter but it wasn’t as cold as you would expect. People were friendly and helpful. Most spoke English as well which was a plus for us.
Old town area is gorgeous. Christmas markets were some of our favorites. The bridges are scenic and interesting. Other sites we enjoyed are the "Lion Monument," Jesuitenkirche, and Hofkirche St. Leodegar. The SMmlung Rosengart art musuem is also nice, with an impressive collection of Picasso's.
Lucerne is one of the prettiest cities ive visited. The location is perfect for sightseeing. The train station is walkable from alstadt hotels and its easy to get to Bern. basel, pilatus and so much more.
The town is pretty and has some beautiful churches. The bridges across the town are atmospheric. The Historisches Museum Luzern is awful, more like a warehouse than a museum. There were a few very small Christmas markets.
I love Luzern. It's extremely beautiful with many stunning old buildings and structures. I love to stroll around. I stayed in the Hotel Altstadt Krone, a wonderful hotel on the Weinmarkt. Even when I went on excursions outside the area, I would find myself stopping on my way to the railway station to take photos and enjoy the atmosphere. I missed several trains because of this! ;))) It's so clean and there is a huge choice of accommodation and restaurants. The transport system is top class and there is a shopping centre underneath the railway station square. Everything you need for a journey is there. I was in Luzern over New Year and the centre was covered in magical lights. I felt on a different planet to my grim home city in England! Definitely come to Luzern, you won't regret it!
A unique and beautiful city. The city wall and towers, the Old Town, Chapel Bridge, and so many other things to see and do. There is also the lake and the nearby Verkehrshaus transport museum. A fantastic place to visit.
