Location was perfect. Patrick (staff) was awesome in helping get settled and answered all of my questions. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Emphasis on location for this hotel. It had a beautiful view of the river and within walking distance from sites and restaurants. I would stay again!

The location was excellent for my Lucerne sightseeing trip. I could walk from the Lucerne train station, and a bus stop was nearby. Breakfast was great with variety (for European breakfast). It was a nice way to start the day. The room was compact, clean, and functional. Since the hotels in Lucerne are expensive, this hotel provides a good value for money.

We only had a short stay so tried to cover the main tourist...
We only had a short stay so tried to cover the main tourist attractions in a day. Unfortunately it rained most of the day but we were able to see the old town on the tourist train which was very good. We walked to the lion monument which was impressive.
An afternoon cruise on the lake was wonderful with spectacular views of the city, lake and imposing mountain peaks that surround it. Even in autumn there was still some snow on the top peaks.

Stepping out from the train station and seeing the river with its bridge and tower was like being in a totally different century.
Easy walk to the Garden Museum located by the Lion sculptured in the rock. It was fun and educational.
The boat ride in Lake Lucerne was amazing coming back from the Gotthard Panorama Express in our return from Lugano.
The boat ride is part of the the trip, but you can buy passes just for the ride.
From fine dining to chain restaurants is all there.
The main train station office is in the upper floor of the train station.

Luzern is very attractive, most sights within walking distance. A really interesting art gallery (Rosengart Sammlung) and we were lucky to get tickets for a concert for the Luzern Festival. The lake is picturesque and the mountains in the distance had fresh snow.
On the downside - it was full of tourists! The restaurants were nothing special - catering for mass tourism. Like the rest of Switzerland everything was expensive so budget accordingly.

Clean city with lots of attractions / towns / scenic locations to visit. Conveniently connected to other major cities of Switzerland . Most of the shops and cafes close very early which can be a bit tough for people who would love to walk around the lake for longer and then indulge in food and shopping.

Very clean city and beauty natural environments. Recommend to boating on the Lucerne lake and hiking on the top of Rigi mountain. Walking around the city is also great, many old buildings with history.
We stayed at the Businesshotel Lux only one night on our way to North Europe. The hotel is only a short drive from Lucerne, a beautiful medieval city with covered bridges, historic buildings and lively squares. After a lovely sight-seeing tour we chilled on the Ufschötti Strand beach. They say " when in Switzerland do like the Swiss do" and they were all there relaxing under the trees on the lawn or on the large sandy beach. The Businesshotel Lux has free parking and a pleasant breakfast included.
My room was clean, spacious & quiet.

Location is amazing, city reachable by foot along the lake, or with bus from across the streets (many buses). Parking for 20€ for 2 days right next to the hotel, very convenient since you can use your visitor card to get around. Relatively economic for Lucerne.
It was a great experience. The room was clean and fancy, the staff was helpfull and gentle. I would definetely recommend this well located and cozy hotel to the ones travelling to Lucerne!
