We loved the interior design - everything was in a new modern industrial style decor, which we loved. Also the staff was exceptionally friendly. The breakfast was great and superb value for money - we had our friends over for breakfast , which was not a problem. We just paid a very reasonable price forty more people, which we found very handy. We had our dog stay with us at the hotel, which again was not an issue at all. So all in all we were very satisfied with our stay and can highly recommend. We would book again any time.

The property was very clean and had updated appliances. No bad smell. The beds were comfortable. It sits in a nice and peaceful neighbourhood. The host was very kind and gave us valuable information for our very brief 2-day stay for sightseeing. In those 2 days we were able to see everything we needed to see on our own : Titlis, Jungfraujoch and Matterhorn. We would have spent almost $3000 on the tour agencies (as we have originally planned) had the host/owner not give us great information based on his personal knowledge and experience.

Go to Pilatus mountain…train up & cable car down! Check the weather & choose a sunny day. You can buy your tickets at the train station along with the train ticket to get there (short ride) Visit the oldest bridge & the beautiful old paintings above. Have a fondue dinner at a restaurant along the water.
My room was upgraded for surprise, and the kindness of two of staff, one who welcomed me for check in, and another one for checked out they always welcomed me with smiles. I will definitely come back again when I visit Luzern. Location is just perfect with a lovely view looking down the bridge.
Different mountains to visit (Mt Pilatus was great), also lake to boat on, along with old town and old city walls. The museum of transport was very expensive and the chocolate tour at the museum wasn't worth it.
What a beautiful city! So scenic. We loved walking around exploring the old streets and around the lake. Walk up to the old wall for great views of the city. The weather didn't allow us to go up Mt. Pilatus, but that's a definite must. We did day trips to Zurich and Engelberg - so easy to get around on the trains and trams. The restaurants and bars were great in Luzern. Don't miss the section next to the train station that has wonderful little bars and cafes - even better than across the river in old town.
If you only have time to visit one city in Switzerland, I would highly suggest Luzern. A walkable city in a particularly beautiful part of the country; boasting a spectacular location on the lake, excellent shopping and dining options, nearby nature and hiking options, boat rides on the lake, and also convenient to other parts of Switzerland for easy day trips.
Lovely boat ride across the lake and gondola ride up the mountain. Interesting history and architecture was beautiful. The Rotunda museum was our favourite indoor attraction. Definitely worth a visit. Plenty of bars and restaurants too.
