Three House Hotel features an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, a garden and terrace in Funchal. Simply put: This is probably the best place to stay on the whole island. It was my second time there and I was again surprised how perfect everything is: the location, the rooms, the service, the staff, the rooftop terrace... This hotel is another reason for me to return to Madeira.

Located within 400 metres of Marina do Funchal and 13 km of Girao Cape in Funchal, King David Suites by Madeira Sun Travel provides accommodation with seating area. Property itself is brand new, pleasant to be in. The facilities given were great. Staff was super attentive, always checking on us and providing quick answers to our concerns. As we went to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks, we were delighted with the location. Plenty of restaurants and activities to do. Would definitely recommend it to everyone visiting Funchal.

Situated within less than 1 km of Marina do Funchal and 14 km of Girao Cape, Tanoeiros Residence by An Island Apart features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Funchal. Great location, close to everything. Very spacious comfortable apartment. Large ensuite with each bedroom. Very clean. Staff helpfully allowed us to leave our bags in the apartment when our flight time changed.

Attractively situated in Funchal, Living Funchal iNN is a recently renovated apartment, which features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Very clear instructions from Luís upfront about how to access the building. Also responded quickly to any questions. Studio is large, bed is comfortable, the room has AC which is nice. There is a coffee machine, and even a washing machine which comes in handy if you want to do laundry after hiking :-) The bathroom is clean and has a good shower. There is a Continente supermarket next door. Parking space is a big plus. The building feels safe and quiet, but is in close proximity of cafes, restaurants, etc.

Set in Salão and only 6.4 km from Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools, Los Amantes de la naturaleza. Offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. What an absolutely great little property! Everything about this property is trebly excellent for what you pay. We had a really enjoyable 4 day stay. Porto Moniz is a 15 min drive but you do really need a car & you defo need to be ok with driving in Madeira as it’s steep everywhere. The hosts a really lovely & everything we could have wanted was provided for us. We highly recommend you book if there’s 2 of you simply wanting a base to explore. Thanks so much for a memorable stay!
