Studios by Aqua Natura Hotels tilbyder 4-stjernet indkvartering i Porto Moniz, 200 m fra Porto Moniz' naturlige svømmebassiner og 40 km fra Girao Cape. Place was lovely, very modern clean rooms, everyday cleaning service, air conditioner. We’ve been welcomed with sparkling wine and left with goodbye gift. If you have a birthday, you may count on a sweet surprise. There was a mini bar, kitchen with microwave and electric plate and small fridge, also espresso maker with excellent quality of coffee, kitchen utensils allowed for some cooking. The view showed surrounding hotel and ocean in the distance. I really enjoyed the 2 min. walk to the rooftop restaurant for breakfast because the view is amazing from there. The breakfast offered wide variety of products and meals, with porridge and some things for sandwich ( cheese, ham or marmalade/nuttella, home-made yogurt). There were also couple of positions a la carte and lots of sweet options. Coffee was also of great quality. I can’t comment on most of the meals because I am vegan and none of the meals a la carte was vegan, also it was possible to eat a sandwich only with marmalade or tomato/pepper for me the rest was just cheese and ham. I saw many people including my partner enjoyed that a lot, but if you are following vegan diet it may be cheaper to skip the breakfast option and buy yourself pack of oats and fruits because coffee is in the room anyway. However, the restaurant view was outstanding and I quite enjoyed that restaurant anyway. They always had a plant based milk so at least a porridge and fresh maracuja. The roof jacuzzi looked autor louring but I didn’t used it, bathing robes are included though as well as a daily ticket to natural swimming pools. We preferred a bit more the cachalote pools that were nearby so didn’t use the it but is is a very nice option closer to the hotel. The hotel also offers spa and massage if someone wish, as well as a little cowork area if you work remotely. WiFi was also excellent. In general, it was excellent and I would totally recommend to everyone to stay there.

Situated within less than 1 km of Marina do Funchal and 14 km of Girao Cape, Tanoeiros Residence by An Island Apart features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Funchal. Location was great. Walking distance to everything we needed, like grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants etc. Great size and perfect for our family. Loved having the washer and dryer. Fresh linens and towels provided half way through our stay. Would definitely stay here again!

Atlântico Azul ligger i Santa Luzia-kvarteret i Funchal, tæt på stranden Almirante Reis. Der er infinity-pool og vaskemaskine. Der tilbydes privat parkering på denne nyrenoverede ejendom. Superflot lækker lejlighed, med den smukkeste udsigt over Funchal. Pletfri rengøring, og alt er nyt! Sengene er meget behagelige. Bussen ned til byen går lige uden for døren. Vi havde et par spørgsmål i løbet af ugen og kommunikationen fungerede nemt via booking og Carla var superhurtig til at svare. lejligheden vi boede i har ikke vaskemaskine, men i stedet er der gratis vaskeservice, så vi afleverede vores tøj og kom hjem til det var fint hængt op til tørre i lejligheden. Alt spillede, inkl. self service tjek in- hvor Carla sendte koder ugen op til vores ankomst. Vi kommer gerne igen- de varmeste anbefalinger herfra.

Terrabona Nature & Vineyards ligger i Boaventura, 21 km fra Santanas traditionelle huse, og tilbyder indkvartering med udendørs swimmingpool, gratis privat parkering, have og restaurant. Terrabona is a small family run hotel with only 4 villas so it felt very quite and exclusive there. It’s situated in a picturesque area in the mountains, there are several hiking routes there and a river down the mountains. A pool and a sauna have an amazing view on the valley. Villas are modern and spacious. They offer 4 types of pillows but we found those which were already in a room super comfortable. WiFi signal was reasonably ok. Breakfast was really good. They leave everything for the breakfast in advance in a fridge and we liked that we could have it any time we wanted. There was always a variety of fresh bread, fruits, cheeses and ham, homemade jam, free range chicken eggs, ect. Everything made in Terrabona is with a good quality and care for nature. We loved little plants garden and a winery. Small parking right next to the hotel was always occupied but there were always free spots in another parking 50 meters from the hotel. There are no restaurants in a walking distance but we enjoyed a dinner experience organised by Marco and Maria. It’s a wonderful stay if you want to enjoy nature and peace and discover one of the most beautiful places of North Madeira - Seixal beach, Sao Vicente and natural pools in Porto Moniz.

The balcony was ideal for morning sun with lovely view over roof tops and sea in background.
