Fujikawaguchiko Onsen Konanso 5 stars

Fujikawaguchiko Onsen-kyo, Fujikawaguchiko

Featuring great views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi, Konanso boasts natural hot spring baths and large Japanese-style rooms with traditional tatami (woven-straw) flooring. It is only a 2-minute walk from a ferry stop, where guests can board sightseeing cruises. Free WiFi is offered in all areas. The facility is simply stunning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The service is AMAZING!!! The best I've expirienced in Japan so far. The food was luxurious and they did their best to make us gorgeous dinners (eat Kosher, don't eat raw fish) that were served in our beautiful Japanese room that had a stunning view of Kawaguchiko lake. The onsen was gorgeous as well. You can get facials and massages as well (highly reccomend it!) at their spa. The hotel is 11 mineuts by foot from Kawaguchiko station (you can take a cab, it's cheap or use the hotel shuttle), and it's just by the Lake. The hotel also have an rooftop that view they lake and Mt. Fuji if it's not cloudy (depends on the season and sheer luck) We had an amazing time there and we are coming back for sure!

Kawaguchiko Lakeside Hotel 2 stars

Fujikawaguchiko Onsen-kyo, Fujikawaguchiko

Located just a minute's walk from Kawaguchiko Lake, Kawaguchiko Lakeside Hotel offers accommodation in Fujikawaguchiko, near Kawaguchiko Ohashi Bridge. Free WiFi is available throughout the entire property. The hotel is a minutes' walk away from the shores of Kawaguchiko and Kawaguchiko Herbkan. The lakeside hotel is a charming, older style Japanese hotel. Everything was so clean & the location right next to the lake and restaurants was amazing. We got lucky in that there were not many quests staying so we had the entire onsen area to ourselves the entire stay. The host/owner is so lovely and welcoming he made our time in Kawaguchiko even better! You also can’t beat the views you get from the hotel of mt fuji! Great value for money. Loved it!

The property is beautiful, with a real homely feel. You feel as if you’re visiting friends! The rooms are traditional, comfortable and clean with lovely yukatas and jackets to use around the facility. The food is wonderful! Such huge attention to detail. As westerners, we had to go into the meals with an open mind but everything was delicious and the lovely host helped us with some videos on how to eat certain things. The staff are incredible, they’re so kind. We had some problems with our bags being left behind in the UK and the lovely host couldn’t have been more helpful with the problem. He so suggested plenty of things to do in the area that we hadn’t heard of. So great!!
