The best I've expirienced in Japan so far. The food was luxurious and they did their best to make us gorgeous dinners (eat Kosher, don't eat raw fish) that were served in our beautiful Japanese room that had a stunning view of Kawaguchiko lake. The onsen was gorgeous as well. You can get facials and massages as well (highly reccomend it!) at their spa. The hotel is 11 mineuts by foot from Kawaguchiko station (you can take a cab, it's cheap or use the hotel shuttle), and it's just by the Lake. The hotel also have an rooftop that view they lake and Mt. Fuji if it's not cloudy (depends on the season and sheer luck) We had an amazing time there and we are coming back for sure!

We got lucky in that there were not many quests staying so we had the entire onsen area to ourselves the entire stay. The food is wonderful! Such huge attention to detail. As westerners, we had to go into the meals with an open mind but everything was delicious and the lovely host helped us with some videos on how to eat certain things.
The staff are incredible, they’re so kind. We had some problems with our bags being left behind in the UK and the lovely host couldn’t have been more helpful with the problem.
He so suggested plenty of things to do in the area that we hadn’t heard of. So great!!

The hotel is amazing. We had a hot bath which was perfect after a day of walking. The staff were very professional and friendly. The traditional breakfast and dinner (which was included in our booking) were an amazing experience. They bring you a lot of food and we ended up so full 😄 they have public and private onsen. We tried the private onsen and we recommend people to try it :) the view of Mt. Fuji and the lake on the roof is amazing. The room came with the tatami floor and the room was huge. 100% recommend
This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. My boyfriend worked at 5-star hotels in the past and even he said the service at this hotel was impeccable. We were very lucky to see Mt Fuji from our room and the private onsen. We also loved the traditional Japanese room, the dinner and breakfast selection and being able to wear the yukata provided by the ryokan. Definitely the most authentic Japanese experience of our trip. We wish we had stayed longer than just one night. We will be back at this ryokan every time we visit Japan from now on.
Everything! It was a beautiful, traditional style Japanese inn with lovely tatami mats and futons to sleep on. It was like being taken back through time and was amazing to experience a real taste of japan.
Most comfortable futons we had in Japan, owner upgraded us to a larger room with a direct view of Mt Fuji for free since we were the only guests in the ryokan. Free hot drinks and the hottest onsen bath imaginable, really rejuvenating. Wonderful hospitality with free yukata loan, 360 views of the lake and mountain from the roof terrace, and the breakfast was delicious. Great facilities and good location.
Really beautiful location as the photos show. This is a traditional Japanese inn (ryokan), which means traditional-style rooms with sliding doors, tatami mats, and futon bedding; a (nude) bathhouse within the hotel facilities; and in our case, a full traditional dinner and breakfast. This is the iconic ryokan experience! I would certainly recommend Ururun Kawaguchiko to anyone else travelling to Japan, and if you can't make it here I would strongly recommend trying to find and stay in a ryokan somewhere else for at least one night.
Excellent place to stay and relax. Each of the rooms have an outdoor onsen bath, and an indoor wet room with a bathtub and shower. The futons are placed on tatami mats. You are provided pajamas to sleep and Yukata to walk around the Ryokan and the area if you want to. The dinner and breakfast are Kaiseki style.
I was a fun to get a ryokan experience, wear a yukata and sleep on a futon.
perfect stay for anyone who wants to experience a ryokan. it was well stocked with amenities, and they even provided a yukata to wear for the onsen! we liked that we could use the onsen privately for 30 minutes max. each time. the host was very warm and welcoming. i was really looking forward to seeing mt. fuji from our room but the weather did not permit unfortunately :( wish we could’ve stayed longer because the weather had cleared up the next day!!!
Location- across from station and bus Short walk to food and sights Futons and Tatami mats Lovely onsen with Mt Fuji views
Location right by the Yagizaki Parc, on the shore of Lake Kawaguchi, but most important with an absolutely stunning view on the Mount Fuji. Hotel is designed like a Ryokan: rooms with Tatami mats, comfortable futons as beds, shared bathrooms with small Onsen, optional breakfast (changes by day between Japanese and western style).
