Luxurious ryokan Fuji Onsenji Yumedono is located just 500 metres from Lake Kawaguchiko. It features traditional Japanese cuisine served in the dining area, suites with in-room hot springs and a garden. All the staff were extremely accommodating and pleasant. The dinner and breakfast were beyond expectations. The heated bathroom flooring was a very nice touch.

The ryokan will provide guests with air-conditioned units with a desk, a coffee machine, a fridge, a safety deposit box, a flat-screen TV, a terrace and a private bathroom with a hot tub. Guests can have wine or champagne and chocolates or cookies delivered to their room. At the ryokan, all units have bed linen and towels. Our stay in Oshino was a truly unique experience and memory we will cherish forever. The house was beautiful and luxurious, especially the gorgeous zen garden and onsen hot bath. What really blew us away though was the food. We went for dinner and breakfast during our stay and the experience was incredible. There was an amazing array of beautifully prepared Japanese dishes lovingly served to us. All of it was delicious and felt like a fine dining experience from start to finish. The staff were so friendly and attentive throughout our stay and even helped us to book a taxi to our next destination. Oshino itself was a beautiful place which felt incredibly calm and peaceful. The view of mount fuji from our bedroom window was spectacular and it was a delight to watch the scenes change so quickly with the weather from such luxurious comfort.

We were lucky to get the corner room with a direct view of Mt. Fuji - it was such a treat! The owner was so nice and helpful! We were picked up and dropped off at the train station. The location was close enough to a lawson/ restaurants / a big supermarket so you can walk there even without a bus! The park near the hotel also has a great view of Mt. Fuji.

The ryokan is a 5-minute walk from Lake Yamanaka. Both Fujikyu Highland Amusement Park and Gotemba Premium Outlets Shopping Mall are within a 30-minute drive. The property is beautiful, with a real homely feel. You feel as if you’re visiting friends! The rooms are traditional, comfortable and clean with lovely yukatas and jackets to use around the facility. The food is wonderful! Such huge attention to detail. As westerners, we had to go into the meals with an open mind but everything was delicious and the lovely host helped us with some videos on how to eat certain things. The staff are incredible, they’re so kind. We had some problems with our bags being left behind in the UK and the lovely host couldn’t have been more helpful with the problem. He so suggested plenty of things to do in the area that we hadn’t heard of. So great!!

The 2-star ryokan is 2.9 km from Fuji-Q Highland. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and Lake Kawaguchi is 2.5 km away. It’s such a cozy Japanese traditional house. The owners are so lovely. They made us feel like home. The place is very spacious and beautiful. We love everything about this place.

Guests at Togawaso sleep in traditional futon bedding on tatami (woven-straw) flooring. Rooms feature views of either Mount Fuji or the Lake. An LCD TV is provided, while bathroom and toilet are shared. The view of Mt Fuji was incredible from our room. Such an incredible experience to stay in a traditional style Japanese guesthouse with an onsen and a view of Fuji! Definitely recommend staying here.
