Situated in Senboku and only 15 km from Nyuto Hot Spring, Kashintei Shirahama features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. The best place I have stayed during my stay in Japan. The food was amazing the best sashimi I had in a while. The rooms were big enough for a family. The Onsen for family is just perfect for us with a baby. And the staff perfect.

Yukemuri no Yado Inazumi Onsen has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Yuzawa. This 4-star ryokan offers a 24-hour front desk and a lift. food was excellent with local specialties. staff did their best to translate and explain in english. free midnight ramen was a nice surprise. be sure to organize shuttle service from yuzawa in advance and be aware that currently many connections to the south and west are restricted due to heavy rain damage.

7.6 km from Nyuto Hot Spring in Senboku, Aoni Sanso features accommodation with access to a hot spring bath, public bath and open-air bath. I booked one night with dinner & breakfast. I didn't try the breakfast, but the dinner was exceptional. Every single dish was very tasty and the entire meal extremely well balanced. The onsen is great as well. As soon as I arrived, they offered me to book a private onsen right away, though it's also okay to use the public onsen in the annex building. Everything was spotless clean, the onsen quality was very high and altogether this was a very pleasant stay. I definitely recommend the dinner.

The location is strategic, close to Lawson and petrol station if you are driving and offer shuttle bus to train station. Public one is good, with one indoor and 2 outdoor pools with temperature around 41 degrees C for the indoor pool. And private bath is available, first come first serve, and nice lake view.

Situated in Daisen, 11 km from Omagari Station, Misato Town Community Lodge Wakuasu features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The 2-star ryokan is 26 km from Kakunodate Station.

Featuring free bikes, garden and views of mountain, Onsen Yupopo is located in Senboku, 33 km from Nyuto Hot Spring. This ryokan offers free private parking and a 24-hour front desk. This is the first ryokan I have ever gone to, and it was wonderful. The staff were very nice, including the gardener who I had met and talked with a few times. The breakfasts had a great variety, and were different every day, with a mix of Western and Japanese items available. The onsen was fun to walk to, since a bridge connects the main building and the onsen building. This was also my first onsen experience, and there are very informative instructions on how to use the facilities properly. It set me up for success at every other bath I ended up going to on my trip, and I'm really grateful. Would highly recommend going during the winter, to enjoy very pretty snowfall and snowy mountain views. I want to return during the spring or summer to enjoy the outdoor art village activities as well!!

Situated in Senboku, 37 km from Nyuto Hot Spring, Nishiki Onsen Kurion features accommodation with a sauna and a hot spring bath. I would say it's clean and cozy. Personally, I enjoy Japanese-style bedrooms, so it was good enough for me. It's also easy to get to Tazawako if you'd like to visit.
