This is the most warm and homely place. Even my own house feels cold and uninviting now that I have stayed in the Guest House. The Guest House is without a doubt the best place I’ve stayed in my life and I wish Koji and Chikako were my real parents. Jake and Anna were amazing friends and made sure we were well looked after despite our best efforts to blunder our way through the week. Couldn’t recommend staying here more!!

Mountain Side Hakuba offers views of the mountains and the ski slopes during the winter season. The property is just a 3-minute walk away from a local ski and snowboard shop. Clean, fabulous location. Excellent staff

Directly connected to the slopes of Okushiga Kogen Ski Resort and within a 1-minute walk from the Lift 1, Hotel Grand Phenix Okushiga provides a convenient ski-in/ski-out access. I never experienced such VIP service otherwise in the world. Whole reception teams demonstrated what extraordinary service should be. I arrived late by bus and was welcomed by one receptionist in bus stop. so I did not need to carry my luggage in the snowing road. They even opened the ski rental shop for me after working hour. The next morning, I missed public shuttle bus and they offered to use hotel shuttle bus to drive me over to ski lift in Yakebitaiyama without reservation in advance. I felt that I was living with a lot of friends instead of living in hotel. I was too tired to try the bar at night, and I would like to try it next time. Swimming pool was good with quite warm water. Hot bathing place with best view. Sun rising over snow mountain top. Breakfast was very good with many variations. The dinner I ordered was pork hotpot, and personally I think the starter tasted better and pork meat is okay. I will try something else next time. All in all, the service and room condition are all top.

Set in Omachi, 12.2 km from Kurobe Dam, ANA Holiday Inn Resort Shinano-Omachi Kuroyon has a garden. This 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. The place is perfectly located, view from almost anywhere is breath taking. Staff is extremely kind. Breakfast buffet is great. All this with a very low price! We were there off season.

Situated on Lake Nojiri in Shinano, Nojiri Lake Resort features air-conditioned rooms and free private parking. Rooms include a private bathroom fitted with a bath. The best part of this hotel is the owner! He is amazing! He makes everyone feel like an old family friend!

Offering a magnificent view of Mount Asama, Karuizawa Asama Prince Hotel features an 18-hole golf course and a spa. Loocation: is perfect, we had a car, it was easy to reach. Food: we had breakfast in the hotel, the food was delicious and had variety. Room: very spacious with view of Mt Asama and overlooking beautiful hotel grounds. The hotel has an onsen ( public bath).

Located in a tranquil area surrounded by natural beauty. The hotel offers a shuttle and a luggage delivery service between JR Karuizawa Station south exit and the hotel. Grand Prince is the quietest among all the Prince Hotels in Karuizawa. I enjoyed the quietness and relaxing atmosphere. The daily lounge facilities available to all guests from 10am to 8pm was great! The french dinner ( paid) was exquisite and reasonably priced.

Yatsugatake Grace Hotel offers aroma massages, a sauna and a hot public bath, a 5-minute ride from Nobeyama Station with the complimentary shuttle. Fuka-san served us with a big smile and very friendly service.
