Boasting a garden, terrace, shared lounge and free WiFi, The Guest House Japan Hakuba is situated in Hakuba, 2.8 km from Hakuba Iwatake Ski Area and 16 km from Hakuba Cortina Ski Area. This is the most warm and homely place. Even my own house feels cold and uninviting now that I have stayed in the Guest House. The Guest House is without a doubt the best place I’ve stayed in my life and I wish Koji and Chikako were my real parents. Jake and Anna were amazing friends and made sure we were well looked after despite our best efforts to blunder our way through the week. Couldn’t recommend staying here more!!

Situated within a private forest and boasting outdoor hot springs and award-winning cuisine, Sierra Resort Hakuba is a 10-minute drive from JR Hakuba Train Station. There’s multiple onsen’s on site that are fabulous. There’s table tennis, air hockey and food and drink on hand. Great staff and service was exceptional. Shuttle bus on hand to take you into town and drop off at the bus terminal.

Mountain Side Hakuba offers views of the mountains and the ski slopes during the winter season. The property is just a 3-minute walk away from a local ski and snowboard shop. Great hospitality; Clean and spacious apartment with all necessary amenities included making it exceptionally convenient for guests.

Directly connected to the slopes of Okushiga Kogen Ski Resort and within a 1-minute walk from the Lift 1, Hotel Grand Phenix Okushiga provides a convenient ski-in/ski-out access. Incredible service and incredible overall experience. It's like staying in a fancy cabin in the snow. The lounge area with the giant fireplace is awesome, very nice food, very spacious rooms and first class facilities such as the onsens and indoor swimming pool. The decor could be interpreted as dated (as other reviews have stated) but we felt this simply adds to the warmth and cosiness of the establishment. The service here is seriously next level and it is fantastic value for money.

Set in Omachi, 12.2 km from Kurobe Dam, ANA Holiday Inn Resort Shinano-Omachi Kuroyon has a garden. This 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. The location is in Omachi town, secluded with nice surrounding area. About 30 minutes drive from Hakuba ski resorts. The onsen with outdoor view is superb & a must try! Breakfast is okay, I've been to other hotel with much variety but this hotel serve a nice one.

Situated on Lake Nojiri in Shinano, Nojiri Lake Resort features air-conditioned rooms and free private parking. Rooms include a private bathroom fitted with a bath. Chef made breakfast was top notch!

Offering a magnificent view of Mount Asama, Karuizawa Asama Prince Hotel features an 18-hole golf course and a spa. Beautiful setting against Mount Asana. Room had a fantastic view and it was very comfortable . Breakfast was very good in a awesome and picturesque dining room. Onsen was clean and had a wonderful view of Asana too. Staff were very friendly & helpful.

Yatsugatake Grace Hotel offers aroma massages, a sauna and a hot public bath, a 5-minute ride from Nobeyama Station with the complimentary shuttle. Fuka-san served us with a big smile and very friendly service.
