Even though it took them a few minutes to locate our reservation for che- in due to mistake in the last name the staff member went out of his way to apologize and provided extra water bottles. Room was perfect and so was location and service.

Room was well equipped and very clean. Property is quite outstanding in the city center and we could find the way without difficulty because it was one of the tallest buildings..... our stay was exciting and satisfactory..... anyway nice hospitality and good physical conditions.

Hotel area was fine-mall across street and other hotels. We drove 10 mins. south for a restaurant. Found neighborhood run-down, old and even trashy. This was at the campus of Univ of Illinois-wouldn’t go there just on appearance alone. Would not plan a visit to here.
Marion has grown quite a bit since we lived in Southern Illinois. It's improved a lot. It's easier to get around and the gas stations are better and so is the restaurant selection. The sights are as always fantastic. I recommend the eagle tours and lakes and rock climbing to everyone.

Excellent experience - the feel of a small town but with plenty of things (and unique dining experiences) to do around town. The culture here is truly surprising and extensive for what many might misperceive as just a small town in central Illinois. I attended an art fundraiser and the turnout was astounding, and the people were incredibly welcoming ad kind. I will be moving here son for work and after this visit I am very excited that I will soon call Champaign my home!
People that we met in town were friendly. Enjoy historic Southern Illinois towns. We didn’t have time to explore the town that is famous for being the home of Popeye.
We LOVE Galena!!! It is full of historic charm, beautiful old mansions & museums, lovely shops, wonderful restaurants & friendly people! We visited Ulysses S Grant’s home and surprisingly, received a personal, informative and in-depth tour. We ate at Galena Brewing Company on Main St. our first night where they had live music (Fri & Sat nights) a fun atmosphere & great beer & food. Galena’s location among rolling hills, & rocky bluffs is a pleasant change from the prairie terrain of much of Illinois. On our way home we drove along the Great River Road (along the Mississippi) and stopped at the Upper Mississippi River Wildlife & Fish Reserve Visitors Center near Thomson, IL. It’s small, but very cool. We loved the live stream (video & audio) of the bald eagle’s nest from near Lock & Dam Number 13 which we could have stood & watched for hours. All in all, we’ll definitely visit Galena area again!
As home to the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana always has some interesting and diverse activities. The downtown area has a variety of unique restaurants, bars and music. Green Street in the heart of "campus town" has become a bustling center for thousand of students. In south campus, Memorial Stadium and the Assembly Hall - now State Farm Arena have both recently been updated and are great venues for athletic events, concerts, and other activities
we went here for the earth wind and fire concert on March 25th, as we were heading to our destination from Champaign, Illinois it began to rain down a winter snow mix and it was so bad that it took us almost 3hrs to reach Peoria. We really enjoyed the locals and the food was incredible once we were able to get outside and move around on the following day
I was disappointed that the Simpsons werent more of a gimmicky attraction. Springfield Illinois has to be the home of this iconic American family.
I've been to Champaign multiple times over the past 4.5 years as we visited University of Illinois before my daughter was admitted and then after she was admitted for various events. Champaign is a very family friendly town that offers much more than what you would consider a college town would. Many quaint restaurants in downtown Champaign and lots of shopping all around. Now that my daughter just graduated, I'm going to miss visiting the area!
The continental breakfast was excellent. Great selections of warm and cold food options from all the food groups. Our children enjoyed the swimming pool too. Our hotel was located close to the attractions we desired to see (Ravinia, Chicago Botanical Gardens, Illinois Beach State Park). Parking was easy and the elevators worked well and were roomy. Our specific room included a doorbell to press for assistance (for those who are blind or deaf).
Great location plenty of food places near by and a walmart. We were in town to race our horses at the illinois state fairgrounds. This hotel is about 3 Miles away. Pool was clean but a little cold. We had a queen room it was huge! Great water pressure in the shower. Great breakfast. Waffles eggs sausage links Sweet rolls yogurt fruit salad muffins juice. Highly recommend staying here
It had all the amenities I needed. 24 hour tea and coffee station was a HUGE plus. Location was excellent, as I was just needing to rest while traveling on I-57. There is a gas station right next to the hotel, which was another huge plus. I would absolutely stay here again, when needing to break up my trips to and from Chicago, from Southern Illinois.
Loved the decor of the hotel! Staff very friendly and helpful. Everything was nice and clean! Really nice pool and jacuzzi. Comfy bed and pillows and love the spacious room. Several restaurants and gas stations next door. Right on the Illinois River. Breakfast could of been better but wasn’t awful. Will definitely stay again!
Carbondale
It was homecoming weekend at Southern Illinois University, so I suspect there was quite a bit of demand for hotel rooms. The Super 8 seemed to be the best deal for the price at that moment. The hotel was well located for my purposes.
It's cheap and is in a good part of the city. Roads around the hotel are excellent, which is strange for Illinois. Worth the stay if you don't really care about where you stay and are there for the city.
Location was good - close to University of Illinois campus, and lots of restaurants and shopping. Breakfast was decent, not much variety, but the food was ok. The staff was very friendly and polite.
We had a wonderful stay this past weekend at the Hyatt near Illinois State University. A very clean and modern hotel with a very helpful staff. The breakfast was very good as well with great coffee!

Quiet hotel in a great location. Yes there is a fire department if your room faces W Illinois, mine faced N Clark so it wasn't as noticable. Great staff, great location. Will stay again.

Location for us was good. We were in town to tour University of Illinois so about a 10 minute drive. Affordable as well. Breakfast was included.
