We booked our stay in Lyf after staying in the Manila location and loving the concept and design. Rooms are modern and fun, with everything you need! We found there was more than enough space for 2 people. Breakfast exceeded our expectations with a generous buffet offering. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. Would recommend!

The resort is right on the beach, with bar and restaurant serving delicious food and drinks the whole day!! Breakfast is good and offers different options daily, food is covered with foil to prevent flies (something we didn’t see often in the Philippines). Cold water is always available and bottle refill for a minimum charge of 25 pesos. A little to no plastic is used and plenty of shade. The reception is really helpful and will help you with anything you may need (including finding a good massage). Right at the bar there is also the dive center offering curses and fun dives (EXCEPTIONAL). What we liked the most is the family atmosphere, the staff is great, friendly attentive helpful and welcoming!! We thank JM, Eileen, Karen, Shara and the rest of the staff for making our week in Malapascua amazing!

I used Cebu city as my layover hub to go to Bohol, Alona, moalboal, and Camotes Island. Cebu is a big city without the stresses that Manila has. The taxi drivers use meters and never tried to cheat me. Maybe because my appearance looks threatening, ha-ha I don't know. Anyway the visayas is a whole lot better than Luzon.

Near Leyte if you are interested to see natures in its best and the islands of Camotes and Bantayan for surfing. The city if Cebu and the metropolis nearby cities of Mandaue and Talisay and Lapulapu are places to explore for their shells and beaches too.
Gerarda's is definitely a must try restaurant along with Golden Cowrie. Despite the catastrophe brought by the quake, Tagbilaran's heritage remains intact and still a go-to place in the Visayas.
Cebu City is just a small city so one can visit the tourist spots quite easily. It can also be your start point to other areas of Visayas and the Philippines.

I used to live here. So I may be a little biased, but I love Dauin. It's a central hub for all things in the Visayas region: Apo Island, Siquijor, transportation to Dumaguete and Cebu, snorkeling, scuba diving, etc. The people are wonderful, and there are even a couple extra hangout spots after a long day of being away from the hotel room. Please stop at the market to try filipino delicacies and foods. It's a necessary experience. Shot out to Rosalinda restaurant next to El Dorado. The food there is great!
The Whaleshark Capital of the Visayas - Oslob, also known as the home of the Gentle Giants. Watch Oslob whale sharks for a remarkable experience however please be mindful of the rules and regulations to help maintain a healthy Oslob marine life. Take a quick boat ride to Sumilon. The gorgeous Sumilon Island Sandbar and Diving Site remains a sublimely idyllic beach escape as it was temporarily closed to the public for about 6 days for a major clean up. Imagine what Boracay would be after its rehabilitation. Just a few meters from the whale shark watching resorts and Port Sumilon is the hidden beach of Cangcua-ay. Walk a hundred steps down and you will be greeted by what seems to be the gates of paradise. After all the beach bumming, immerse yourself in the local culture by visiting the Poblacion. Found behind the somewhat busy streets of Oslob Poblacion, the Oslob Heritage Park boasts of century old structures, unfinished buildings made of coral blocks and spanish era barracks.
The location is great and was a good base for us to go around places in Bacolod or Negros Occidental. Actually this was our second time around in the accommodation during our entire 3-weeks holidays in Western Visayas. The facilities in the apartment were great particularly the presence of a washing machine, which is very useful after a hike or after a swim. The smart TV was also great to connect to our Netflix account for our evening entertainment. The accommodation is clean and BTW the apartment also smelled great our second time around.
The hotel is directly connected to Robinson's Galleria Mall giving access to the stores and restaurants in the complex. It is also close to the piers for those who use the ports of Cebu to travel to the other islands in the Visayas. The room was generous in size, comfortable, and relatively clean.
The venue is superior compared to other hotels in the county in terms of design. Not only for business, but caters for special events in the city. Well designed and international. Very surprised to find such a property in the Visayas, yet alone Bacolod.
The staff are very accommodating. I liked that the place had a microwave and refrigerator. The hotel was also accessible. There was brownout/blackout all over West Visayas during our entire visit but we had a good stay.

I had an excellent stay at Rate Bayfront Hotel Cebu North Reclamation! The staff was extremely professional and attentive throughout my stay, always willing to help with anything I needed. Although I think the breakfast could be a bit better, everything else about this hotel was great. The rooms are super clean and well-maintained, and the food served in the restaurant is delicious. This hotel is ideal for both couples and solo travelers. Overall, I highly recommend Rate Bayfront Hotel Cebu North Reclamation to anyone looking for a place to stay in Cebu!
Great location, all the facilities one needs for a long stay, very friendly staff, good and diverse breakfast, excellent pools for families and also for parties, local deserts, towels are changed twice a day, prompt laundry service (although careless about stain removal)
