Breakfast was a decent continental.the coffee in the breakfast room was not as good as the coffee in the conservatory. The room was beautifully designed with all that was needed. The history and beauty of the building have been loving incorporated into the hotel.

All the three rooms we have stayed had a kitchenettes, with sufficient cooking tools for a light meal. Bed was comfortable.

Akaroa
The view is utterly stunning. I could not stop taking photos, as the light changed, and impressed me all over again. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed the space and variety of places to sit to read when not distracted by the view. The weather all over NZ was atrocious, so we went with plenty to keep us entertained, but none of it needed. While the rest of Canterbury shivered and dealt with the rain and gale force winds, we strolled about Akaroa spotting birds and enjoying mild winter sun.
West Melton
A Canterbury gem, truly a great experience all the way around. Amazing property with immaculately clean rooms, garnsihed with lemon water and New Zealand chocolate. Our host Jasmine was incredible from start to finish with a world class breakfast of granola, berries, eggs, bacon, avocado and home grown tomatoes. Bed was super comfortable and check in was quick and easy. We'll be back soon!
The hotel location was perfect!! 2 minutes Walk to the punting on the Avon and 6 minutes to the art gallery and Canterbury Museum! 3 Minutes walk to the bus stop and can take the No 8 directly to the airport! The reception staff were really helpful and we stored our luggage for whole day! The room was spacious and clean, good value for money. We will definitely come back next time!
The hotel sits in Christchurch Arts Centre and just across the road from Botanic Gardens. I don’t think you can find any other better situated hotel in Christchurch. The building used to be a part of the Canterbury University and of course the Observatory, so unique and interesting. The Lounge is beautiful and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a long city walk.
Methven
Well located for trips into the Canterbury high country. Apartment is well insulated so did not need to use heating despite cold nights for this time of year. Very quiet.

This was one of the best value for money stays in nz. The room was amazing. Breakfast was great. The view just the best.
The location of the hotel is perfect. Just next to the airport with great variety of restaurants and big supermarket next to it. The staff took care for details - we mentioned that we are visiting for honeymoon (last hotel at our 3-weeks NZ honeymoon road-trip), and they left us a great Macron decor. The hotel was as clean as you can get.
Everything this was a fantastic holiday park, we will definitely be staying there next time we are down the South Island
Fantastic stay! The location was fantastic - cabin was clean, warm and had everything we needed. Staff were helpful and very quick with communication. Kids loved the playground and wood fired pizzas. Would definitely book again
Great Hospitality by the Manager and staff
The hotel is 5-10 minutes walk from the city centre and easy access to so many places of interest! The room was very comfortable and quiet! I tended to eat out for meals as there a large choice of places to eat within walking distance…the Riverside Market and restaurants along Oxford Terrace provided lots of places to eat!
Excellent just like last time we stayed. Design is impeccable, Little River is a very cute town, and good view from the Silo!
Facilities are comprehensive and clean such as laundry room, shared kitchen and showering facilities. The location is great as it is near the town centre.
We only stayed here 1 night but wish we spent more time here. Amazing food (the dinner is 100% worth it!), super friendly staff, beautiful views with deer right outside, comfortable bed, amazing amenities. Honestly one of the best hotels/lodges I have stayed at.
