Kuantan is one of my favourite places in the world. It’s a quaint laidback town with access to beautiful beaches and great food. At the same time you can get the convenience of modernity with its ample malls. Its location by the banks of the mighty Pahang river paints a picturesque backdrop to the town. It’s one of those underrated places in Malaysia!

Kuala Lipis is a town that known as a historical place in Pahang where you can find a lot of heritage buildings from colonial era. Here you can have traditional foods and one of the famous food is Rendang Jamil located at Medan Tangga. For nature lovers, you can go to Gua Bama and Taman Rimba Kenong by car.
Been there almost 3 to 4 times a year to send o pickup my niece from Pekan. Teluk chempedak is overated but for first timers could be fairly fun for nite out. Food are quite expensive if u trying local. Taste good though. De Rhu good for family vacation for those who wants the pool n beach in one. In town.. the nite n morning market at UTC building hv local foods n fresh fruits n herbs too. Tanjung lumpur.Azmi patin tempoyak. Teruntum complex is a point to drop by. At UtC market Dont forget to try lemang periuk kera. Sambal hitam. Puding diraja o royal puding. Near to parkson u can try pahang food at Akob ikan patin for lunch. Delicious cakes n Brownies at Lila wadi just after sentral hotel. A walking distance.
I think Kuantan one of the best city in Pahang that we can find the best and fresh of seafoods and local foods restaurant especially like Ana Ikan Bakar at Tanjung Lumpur and Singgang Selera. Also near to Kemaman that we also can shop like keropok lekor, sata and keropok keping tamban.
There is an excellent promenade along the river not far from the beautiful Pahang State Mosque. Tell Champedak beach is the closest to Kuantan, a bit over commercialised close to the sandy beach but there is a good walkway around the coast that soon has you away from civilisation with good sea and jungle views.
plenty of parking space, strategic location-walking distance to Pahang's state mosque (<300m), Menara Kuantan 188, street art, museum of art, Padang MPK1, viral coffee shops/restaurant (<1km), quite a lot of choice of breakfast for only RM15.00 (add-on, pay at Tun Teja Cafe's counter). I love their bread pudding and of course their food have a good taste too. Overall I enjoyed staying for 2 nights at this hotel. Will come back again if I have working trip here.

The room is big for family of 5. I asked for upgrade by the way and one extra bed. I like the hotel location which is near to tomyam restaurants and few interesting places. The pool is facing Sungai Pahang which is nice. The food is just average to my tastebud. The pool is big and my kids love it. But the room lighting is too dimmed. Kasi terang sikit lah.

The condition of the hotel is good and comfortable. a strategic location in the middle of Kuantan city, behind the Pahang River and next to Menara 118 Kuantan. Cereal breakfast options are quite a lot (6 menus) and there are log biscuits that bring back childhood nostalgia.
