Comfortable beds, nice diner with plenty of options (flavors are authentic and nice, but less spicy. You can add sambal if you prefer), very helpful in booking excursions, fair prices for drinks (including beers).

Very good location and extremely clean room. This was what I call a basic accommodation but for the adventure in jungle was perfect. Comfy bed and warm shower after the trekking did the job.

The room was very clean and looked modern and new. AC worked well. The owners were friendly and answered all our questions. The location is also excellent, just a few steps from the boats that cross the river. However, there is a steep hill to reach the river, but if you’re moderately fit, it shouldn't be a problem.

It’s just amazing, i’ve been there 11 years ago and decided to go back there and I see many things have definitely improved.
The room was beautiful, the vegetation around the resort is so well preserved.
Just staying at a resort like this, it’s an experience itself.
I definitely recommend it.
Wild animals everywhere, consider this resort is the only one literally inside the rainforest and it’s amazing.
They offer a bunch of cool activities to do during the stay.

Kuala Tahan is great for all those who want to experience the rainforest in real life but it is nothing for those who don't like to get sweaty or muddy or uncomfortable. It's a very small village you choices to eat are small but I would very much recommend the floating restaurant. They have very friendly staff and the food was great.
If you go to Kuala Tahan and want to see more of the rainforest and go outside of the main tourist trails I really really really recommend you make a guided tour. There are many possibilities where you want to book what you want to see and if you'd like a one, two or even three day track. We did a one day track which was a lot of fun, very beautiful and interesting but at the same time don't underestimate the trail the terrain is doable but can be very steep and demanding. Nevertheless the experience is totally worth it.
If you go to Malaysia I strongly recommend visiting Kuala Tahan.

The night hikes were back to back groups so with crowds and noise no chance of seeing animals. You definitely should bring your own torch as you can't see where you are stepping and there are some slippery spots. Personally wouldn't do again.
The canopy was nice albeit very narrow with only 4 allowed on it at a time. You are not allowed to stop or take photographs. Having to focus on my footing and not being able to stop and look makes it just going for a walk.
Going through the rapids and getting wet is accomplished by guide literally rocking boat.
The stop at village was the best part of trip. Fascinating how fire was started and the use of blow gun which we go to try.

Kuala Tahan is a nice little village with just a few shops and restaurants. But of course the main thing to do is to go to the national park. We choose to do a one day tour, which we really enjoyed. You cross the river and there is the entrance where you get your permit. They inform you about everything and everyone was very nice. I really recommend doing a tour because you learn a lot about nature and living in the rainforest. The canopy walk was also so beautiful! You can do some things on your own however, for most of the trails you need a guide to accompany you. There were some challenging parts about the hike. You need to be fit to hike up and down in the humid climate. But it was a very nice challenge and I would recommend it to everyone!
If you want to eat out I recommend the floating restaurants down by the river. The people are really friendly and welcoming and the food is good, for a fair price!

We stayed 3 nights and had 2 days to explore which was fine to do both some day and night walks in the jungle as well as a river trip to the small waterfall. Crossing the river to actually get to the jungle site is very easier. You just go down to one of the floating restaurants and ask them to take you across. Fees are fixed at 1 RMB per person. Your entrance permit is valid for all days so make sure to keep it with you at all times - also when doing river cruises.

Like the staff! All very nice and helpful.
Like the staff! All very nice and helpful. We also had laundry done for seven people and it came back in a day and was very clean and organized. You can book excursions right from the lodge. You can drink the water, so would have liked a large water container to fill up on our own. They left two small bottles a day, but that is not enough and we had to purchase water. Good selection at breakfast. Bathroom was always hot, as no windows, just open to the wild, so had to keep door closed at all times.

A beautiful place in the middle of the rain forest. take the canopy walk it is great. walk some trails, take a boat, do this on your own, you don't need to buy a tour. The people are genuinely nice, helpful, and welcoming.
Excellent location, 5 minutes walk to the jetty to take the boat to Taman Negara.
The room we got was spacious and clean. There was a drying rack on the patio to hang wet clothes, and an outside shower and tap nearby which is really great when you come from a hike all muddy.
The staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.
They organised tours and guides for us, all of them were excellent and we really had a great time.
The dinner we had at the guesthouse was delicious.
The owners are very hospitable, gentle and kind! They want to make you feel comfortable and they help you, no need for asking.
The hotel looks so colourful, feels like a home and is located in a nice quiet place. The room is clean and has everything that you need. After a trip in Taman Negara you can get all the rest you need. Restaurants/ markets are nearby. I definitely would recommend it!
+ Great location. Very walkable to the river, where you can cross to Taman Negara and where the floating restaurants are.
+ Swimming pool. The fact that it was there. Because we have a child. Children love pools.
+ Breakfast buffet. The fact that it was there. One care less in the morning. The quality was not that special though.
It was marvellous stay at this apartment. The host Luka took care of us like family. Everything was perfectly clean. The view from terrace is breathtaking and also the breakfast is served there and it's delicious. Trips are offered to explore Taman negara. Thank you Luka.
