I had an accident whilst there (whilst boating) and used hotel to recuperate until I could fly again. The staff were AMAZING, taking care, giving me room on bottom floor, carrying things for me, ordering taxi's and their sushi take in (so recommended, on par with the best Sushi restaurants in the UK) and also translating and writing documents for my stay in the hospital and return on the plane. Marija, Jelena, Valeska and Teodora made all the difference in the world and should be the standard for all hotels, they trumped it all by ordering me the cheapest taxi transfer I could find and changing the car so I'd be comfortable on the journey back. My room was spacious, scrupulously clean and serviced every day, with a well stocked fridge including chocolate and great TV's with choice of stations.

Tivat has a wonderful frontage with bars, restaurants and entertainment. On our second night there we had the benefit of an open air concert, performed from the deck of a yacht by the marina, which drew a very large crowd. Tivat airport is only a few kilometres from the marina. The surrounding area of Kotor bay is breathtaking.
Kotor Bay is beautiful and the Old Town is nice - there are lots of shops and restaurants, and boat trips around the bay. You can also drive up into the mountains within 30 mins which is scary but worth it for the views! We stayed for 4 days which was enough as the town itself is quite small and we found we'd seen it all after a few nights.
Quaint little town , I imagine too crowed in middle summer, great access to Kotor-Risan . Going to Dubrovnik is a pain as you have to go through Both Borders there and back FYI for those who dont know Montenegro is not yet in the EU. Every bus you take , Split, Trebjine,Kotor bay or Risan add some extra time 30min-1-2hour, as roads are crowed and slow. Nice place , has all you need . However eight nights was too much for me 3-5 nights would have been plenty .
It has everything beautiful Kotor Bay, mountains, boating tours, Blue caves, cycling,Old Town to explore, Fortress to climb with the best views,bus trips to Budva, Tivat, Perast and lakes to view. We have our favourite Pizza Pronto cafe in the Old Town.. Also our favourite Restaurant Tanjga where you choice what variety of meats and char grill vegetables.. Big Cruise ships in most days, with many tourists in the town of Kotor.
We stayed in Denovici which is a quiet fishing village near Herceg-Novi. It was near to the end of the season, so places were beginning to close down. Beautiful scenery in Kotor Bay Area and we had some lovely meals in the restaurants.
Wow, it is just gorgeous place to visit. The old town is perfect and so pretty. Each turn was a new square, bar, restaurant. We tried somewhere new every lunch and dinner and they are all excellent and reasonably priced. It seemed so cosmopolitan in places. Nightlife was just a right mix. Kotor is Very clean and having no traffic in the old town made walking around enjoyable. Outside the old town was we walked to the nearest beach and a selection of bars/restaurants along the way were a perfect place to stop and relax. They were approx 10mins walk away. We stayed 4nts and yes there were lots of cruise ships coming in and out but we experienced day or so without any which was again lovely. We walked up to the top of the monastery which gave fabulous views over Kotor bay (but definitely for more able bodied guests as slippy in places) cost 8 euros each. We did a 2.5hr boat trip to Our lady of the Rock and Perast which was lovely way to see the coastline. Kotor is only 15 mins drive from Tivat Airport so again a perfect place to visit. We also went to visit Budva on the Adriatic Sea. This was lovely and more for us to experience the beach side of Montenegro for a few hours. The old town in Budva was not as magical as Kotor’s old town in my opinion and had I never of seen Kotor’s ‘old town’ I would of been beautiful, but I had experienced better in Kotor. We went to view Sveti Nikola island too. Just for photo opportunity which was lovely. Anyone unsure about heading to Montenegro and Kotor - just go for it. It was beautiful.
This is a very up and coming resort and offers something for everyone and still very reasonably priced - the new Porto Montegro area is fantastic, multi-million ££ super yachts, designer stores with stunning mountain backdrop make this resort a new Monaco, don't let this put you off though, alongside the extravagance are family friendly bars and eateries all very reasonably priced and offering a good variety of cuisines. Cheap taxis get you to Kotor (an absolute must see experience) and other nearby points of interest like Budva and neighbouring resorts, also boat tours of the Tivat & Kotor bays.
We spent only 1 night and then moved to Petrovac na moru. May be next time we'll stay longer, Tivat is closer to Kotor, Kotor bay with its towns like Herzeg-Novi, to Jablac (not sure in the name) mountains.

Tivat is a small laid back town compared to Kotor and budva. But its really calm and serene. The scenery of the kotor bay is just amazing. We attended a rock concert on the Tivat riva by a former yugoslavian band on a navy ship.. My my what a concert it was, it was awesome!! Made our whole stay special! We heard the staff at the hotel say that every summer there r more events like this being organised to increase tourists. Overall we had a fantastic stay!!
The apartment was a perfect size and very well equipped for cooking family meals. Beds were very comfy and the air conditioning worked perfect. Pool area was very good and never too busy and very relaxing. The terrace in the apartment is perfect for sun in the morning and has a nice shaded area to eat in the evening if required. The terrace is very spacious. Location is good for visiting Montenegro and Kotor Bay area. Communication was excellent also and we had no trouble on arrival to find and access the place.
Excellent hotel, large and very clean rooms, hotel has a nice restaurant with lovely food and nice balcony seating overlooking Kotor Bay, not to forget the nice sun terrace along the river where you can relax, take a swim and enjoy your cocktail. The best part are the owners, very passionate about their business and a high informal service level, you really feel welcome at this place, we were lucky to start and finish our Montenegro holiday at Lavanda, many thanks for your hospitality.

The location is ideal, with stunning views of Kotor Bay (much nicer than the views from Kotor) the village is the ideal size for a relaxed holiday with still enough to do, and plenty of places to eat and drink. The charming village of Perast is also only 5mins away in the car. The Villa itself is literally a stone's throw from the water, is plenty big enough for a large family, has all the amenities you could wish for, and has the bonus of its own pool! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We liked everything. The owners were very nice and welcoming. The location is excellent. Theres a local market and a bakery 1min on foot. The sea is just across the apartment street and we had coffee there every morning and cruisers were passing on the other side of the bay to dock at Kotor bay. The view is stunning from there. The room was clean and tidy and it has everything you need and more. Kamenari is cozy and beautiful and we will visit Summer Time Apartments again.

We were very lucky to stay in one of the most beautiful houses in Montenegro and meet such wonderful people. The house is in an incredible location with its own beach and an amazing view. It should definitely be the number one accommodation choice for those seeking peace in Kotor Bay. Besides the beach, there are many additional amenities. We are very grateful for the facilities and gestures they provided. The owner and his family were incredibly friendly and hospitable.

The apartment is great. It's spacious, comfortable, well equipped and clean. We really had everything we needed. The location is quiet with a stunning view of Kotor bay and old town. It's a bit of a walk to the old town, or you can drive but traffic can be really dense at times. The pools are amazing. Communication with the owner was easy and smooth. There is a parking space provided. WiFi was good. We had a wonderful stay, thank you.

Very nice apartment, very clean, everything was new and looked like on the pictures. Equipped in everything you need for your stay, even washing machine is there. Good location if you have a car and want to explore Kotor bay's surrounding. Bakery in next building allows you to get fresh bread and cakes 6-23h 7 days a week. Free parking. Host stays in touch. Not much noise even though the building is close to the street.
Beautiful property nestled in an old palace, with outstanding views of kotor bay. very quiet environment thanks to kotor being car-free. Food in the restaurant is excellent, as well as the wine list: congratulations to the chef and his team. We did not use pools as they were cold but had several saunas. Hotel staff are the true gem of this place: they are both very kind and very professional ! they made us feel like home :)

Among all apartments we have rented in Montenegro during our holidays, Ranko Apartment was the best! Very spacious room, kitchen and bathroom, everything well equipped and super clean. We loved the location which was close to many beautiful places around Kotor Bay. We enjoyed spending evenings on the balcony and very calm surroundings. The host was very nice and super helpful. We would love to come back to this place!
Very very nice hotel in the Kotor bay - it is a bit away from the busy/super touristy Kotor village, which for us was a big + as the area is quiet and more authentic We love the private beach, and the fact that the hotel provided beach towels. View was amazing and water very clean Breakfast also was great (best we had in Montenegro by far) with very fresh produce Room was spacious and comfortable

The owners were super friendly, welcoming and warm. They even gave us some gifts like local beer and cheese from Montenegro which we loved! It's a prime location in a very beautiful spot. You can reach many locations in the Kotor Bay and it's a couple minute walk to the beach - so you can take a walk to Tivat or Porto Montenegro, which has many restaurants and beautiful sunset views.

The apartment has everything we needed. It was very clean. Plus, it has a very beautiful view of Kotor Bay. Balcony of the apartment is very nice to spend time and have coffee. Apartment has private parking area which is a big plus in Kotor. WiFi quality was also quite nice. The owner helped us with everything we needed during our stay. Overall, this was one of our best stay in Montenegro.
Great location, our room was spacious and overlooked beautiful Kotor bay. We were staying with 6 months baby (which also means we were able to enjoy dawns in this wonderful place :) ), all staff was very supporting and friendly, and open to help with our specific requests. Hotel is at seafront, tidy and quiet. Food was great, fresh and tasty. All in all great stay.

Excellent location with amazing views over the Kotor Bay and mountains. Compact apartment but with evering you need for a comfortable stay. Risan
Really liked my stay in Risan, perfect getaway from busy and noisy Old Town. Way more relax than neighbouring town Perast, which is way more touristy. Really enjoyed staying at this location; nice view on Kotor Bay, everything is new inside the apartment, really good value for money.

When we first arrived at the apartment, we were greeted by a unique view of the magnificent Kotor Bay. They offered us grapes from the garden. The house was very spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The host Dajana helped us with everything. I hope we can come again.
The apartment is new and very comfortable. The view of Kotor bay and the mountains is to die for. It’s an easy 1 mile walk into the Old City. Driving around Kotor is very difficult so staying near the city really helps. It’s a great value for the money.

It was a lovely stay, our host Sanja was very friendly and helpful, we had a great conversation with her. Check-in and check-out was very easy thanks to her clear instructions. The apartment had a grea view of the Kotor Bay, I would definitely recommend.

The apartment is spacious and full of light, the view from the terrace is amazing. There are some chairs and a table so you can have breakfast or drinks in the evening enjoying the Kotor Bay. The free parking in the building is an additional plus.
