Hotel in Dorogawa Onsen, Tenkawa
Ichimaru Ryokan - Vacation STAY 35990v is located in Tenkawa, in the Dorogawa Onsen district. Every room is equipped with a shared bathroom with a shower, free toiletries and a hairdryer. Our hosts were extremely hospitable. Upon hearing that we were heading to a nearby ryokan, our host offered to drive us over for free (and refused the cash we pulled out of our wallets multiple times). The food was amazing as well!

Hotel in Nara
Located within a 18-minute walk of Nara Station and 12 miles of Iwafune Shrine, Nara Ryokan - Vacation STAY 49528v has rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Nara. I loved that it was fairly easy to find and close to Nara’s hot spots finding everything in a walking distance. I really thought it was of great value for what I paid and although the room was smaller than I would like – I spent most my time exploring so I was just happy to come back to a comfortable and cozy place to rest and relax with a hot bath and friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel in Gose
Located in Gose, 14 miles from Subaru Hall, Yado Charinko provides accommodations with free bikes, free private parking and a garden. The concept of the hotel that merges itself into the community. The hotel itself does not provide everything as one-stop service as another, you have to wander around the town to find the things you are looking for (sometime over your expectation). I was so enjoyed staying there and also the time to talk with the locals (but you may need to have some Japanese communication skill, or even you cannot, I am certainly sure that they will somehow communicate with you with their best). You must try Sento, the public available for free to their guest staying there.

Beautiful place. Shigi-san is a mountain full of temples and hiking routes with great views of Nara. You can travel there by bus from Oji station and save money instead of taking a taxi. If you are not into 'buddism and shukubo', one night at a hotel or a temple is just fine.
The host was super nice. We arrived earlier prior to 3 pm and able to check in especially under the mid day heat! We got off at Nara station and took bus 14 to the house, it was about 10 minute walk from the bus station crossing the overpath. The house was nice, authentic Japanese house with Tatami floor beds and air conditioner. The kitchen and amenities were nice and useful. Nara park and Todai-ji temple were beautiful and tranquil. We used one of the hand towel as wet towel and "neck cooler" to cope with the summer heat.
Location ok for our purpose which was touring Nara region by car. Hotel is apparently well known for its thermal baths (which we didn't use). Breakfast abundant, with much variety, although a bit slow in replacing what has been consumed. Interesting happy hour with free drinks in the evening. Room with lots of space, two large single beds that allows using as double beds (we understood that queen or king beds are not available). Receptionist Mireya was very helpful to find our way around.
The staff at Nara Hotel offers a level of service that has disappeared from most more modern hotels. As we were climbing the hill pulling our bags behind us, one of the support personnel saw us and immediately came to our assistance. Inside another helper took charge of taking our luggage to our room. We felt pampered and relieved. The same sort of attention was offered enthusiastically by the dining room servers. The front desk personnel also went out of their way to help us.
The staff were so friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The facilities were amazing as well, beautiful, clean and rich in culture. The room was comfortable, the private onsen was free to use and really beautiful. The chef special dinner and breakfast was delicious, some of the best food we had while in Japan. Well done to this wonderful place, I would recommend it to anyone who is visiting Nara. Remember to have dinner there!
Great economical hotel. Booked last minute. Recommend the buffet breakfast which had both western and Japanese offerings. Hotel is located across from the JR Nara station which was great for access. 7-Eleven is just down the street, and restaurants nearby. Nara has a lot to see and do. Being right off the train, this could be a good choice for those looking for a hub to make day trips from. Washers and dryers are available for a small fee in the hotel (400¥).
During my stay at Bakery Hotel Chateau D'or in Nara, I found the rooms to be a decent size, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast, sourced from their nearby bakery, was basic but very good and the coffee was excellent. The hotel's location was ideal for exploring the sites in Nara, with plenty of good restaurants nearby. The staff was friendly and exceptionally helpful, even assisting me in trying to locate a book I had left on the train.
Nara
Hotel right in the heart of Nara park. Sleeping in an establishment that is surrounded by beautiful nature and mesmerizing deers. More of a cozy feeling. When I arrived, staff made me feel like I came to stay at my old friend's house rather than a big business franchise. Introduced me to nearby touristic places and were eager to answer any questions that arise, both in English and Japanese. I would definitely stay here in the future.
Nara
Hilo Hostel is an amazing gem located near the train station. Close to all the tourist sights, easy access from train station. Squeaky cleanhostel, owner and family are very kind and helpful in every way. Reception, kitchen and dorms are exceptionally clean. Staying in Nara you get to avoid day tripper rush and can enjoy the morning and evening quiet of the area. Price to stay is also excellent. One of my favorite places to stay.
This is a very excellent Hotel, with the most convenient location of any hotel that I have experienced in Japan, just one short block from the Jr Nara train station. From the train station, buses can take you anywhere that you would want to go in the Nara area, and to me, the Nora area is the best and most important sightseeing in Japan. The breakfast is excellent, as are the rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
First off every single person working here is extremely polite and really makes you feel welcome. The Hotel is in a great location ~15 mins walk from Nara Station and slightly closer to Kintetsu-Nara station, very close to Nara Park and many other extremely beautiful spots. There are a lot of Cafés and Restaurants around. The room has a decent size, you get a Guide Book for Nara and some special green tea.
Nara
Hotel with a traditional style located a short walk from Kintetsu-Nara station. Good sized room and very friendly, helpful and attentive staff who made our stay a pleasure. We had booked with breakfast included and would highly recommend the traditional Japanese option. Staff were readily acommodating of our request to have dinner in our room the following evening even though we had not pre-booked this.
I booked the Super Hotel Premier JR Nara Eki only a few days prior to arrival in Nara and I am so glad I did. I was moving around Japan with a bicycle bag and related gear, so the location and convenience of this hotel was wonderful. The staff were very helpful at every turn and the facilities (e.g. laundry) were great. The breakfast was very good and I will definitely recommend this hotel to others.
This has been my favorite stay so far in Japan! I am a solo traveler so I have gotten used to small spaces and crammed hotels, but Henn na Hotel Nara amazed my expectations :) The room layout was lovely and the hotel overall was very clean and spacious. The walls are thick so I wasn’t able to hear anyone around me or in the halls. It is also a less than 5 minute walk from the station.
Location is perfect, very near Nara Station and buses. The staff were just lovely and very helpful and my room was spacious by Japanese standards and had everything I needed for my stay. The bed was fantastic and felt like sleeping in a cloud. I paid extra for breakfast which had a good variety of food. There were plenty of eateries nearby and a lovely supermarket at the station.
Great spot to stay in Nara. Hotel was clean, room was fairly standard sizing for the Japanese hotels. Location was great, near to lots of good places to eat and withing walking distance to the Kintetsu railway line as well as the nature park and temples. We really enjoyed our stay in Nara, and can recommend the APA hotel as a great place to stay while you visit.
We had an amazing time here and wished we’d stayed more nights. The staff was incredibly kind, and there was so much to find and do in terms of information on the Nara region and activities at the visitor center. The room was great too! Next time we’re in Japan we’ll come back and stay longer :)
The Hotel is very stylish and modern. We rented the deluxe suite and it was tally worth it. The room was amazing and the views incredible. It's very well located as well, only 5min away from the Nara Park. The staff was also very friendly and even helped us get accommodations.
Nara
A typical Japanese room. The space is not very large, but it is enough for an average family. The house is very clean, the landlord is very kind, the price is reasonable, there is a Kintetsu line nearby, and it only takes one stop to Nara Park.
The apartment is located close to the Nara park, in a commercial street. The apartment had the feeling of a modern though traditional Japanese apartment. The little, very clean bathroom was very nice for a bath after the visits.
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Pagoda. The location was great and we could walk to the Nara Park and to the best restaurants in the area. The staff were super friendly - it was raining and they even lend us umbrellas.
