endroit sympa, mais demande au moins une journée à partir de nara... pas sûr que ça vaille le coup.
Quite out of the way but worth the challenge once I'd found the best way in & out which is by cable car from Ikoma railway station to Hozanji cable car station then about 5 minute walk to ryokan. Taxi on arrival preferable with luggage then check out how to get to closest cable car stop as one way costs less than third price of taxi (which in itself was still only just over $AUD10). Indonesian restaurant next door wonderful & breakfast at the ryokan is best Japanese breakfast I've had in Japan! Ikoma for me provided a central base to catch train to Nara. Ask at Nara Stn for Kintetsu Railway Network map in English which clearly indicates cable car stops as well. Try to book volunteer guide at Nara tourist information centre st ground level of Nara station if you don't have guide book
I was amazed at the high quality of this hotel! I worked hard to find affordable accommodation in the areas I wanted to photograph during my time in Japan and I was really surprised how high-class the APA Hotel Kintetsu-Nara was! They said it was a “modern urban hotel” and it was really like a modern American hotel with bigger rooms than other Japanese hotels and a lot included for a really affordable price! - My photos are of the “fish option”brunch they gave me when I came back from my morning photography time. Amazing!
Nara
The host was really nice, I asked to stay an extra night in the same room as I wanted to explore more of Nara and it was no problem. Comfy bed and great heating system. Bathroom was very clean and I loved the garden in the middle of the property! I really liked the location as you’re away from the crowds a little bit (not to far from Nara park though) which is nice as exploring Nara park can get a bit overwhelming with the crowds. Near a Japanese supermarket which wad fun to check out and a great Ramen restaurant!
Nara
It was beautifully presented and well designed - a great mix of traditional space and modern comfort. The host was so friendly, welcoming and helpful before our stay and on arrival. We had a very peaceful and comfortable stay here and the location is very good for exploring the city. We enjoyed walking around the local area and just relaxing in the Japanese room. Hismae helped with recommendations for where to eat and what to go and see in Nara. We loved staying here and wished we could have been here longer!
Location ok for our purpose which was touring Nara region by car. Hotel is apparently well known for its thermal baths (which we didn't use). Breakfast abundant, with much variety, although a bit slow in replacing what has been consumed. Interesting happy hour with free drinks in the evening. Room with lots of space, two large single beds that allows using as double beds (we understood that queen or king beds are not available). Receptionist Mireya was very helpful to find our way around.
Enjoyed staying at Rokune hotel. Had a nice roomy apartment on the 4the floor. Apartment was spacious, with 2 nice and comfy double beds, very big bathroom. Appreciated the free skin care products, water, coffee and tea. Check-in was super easy with 2 codes(1 for the front door, panel on the right hand side of the door and 1 for the apartment) that you receive via mail. Would definitely stay here again when I come back to Nara. Nearby the train station, so very convenient as well.
Nara
Slow House was exactly what we needed for a relaxing time in Nara. Time to slow the pace of our journey a but and take it easy. Hiro-san and the team are very welcoming and helpful. The facilities are super clean and lovely throughout including a handy kitchen in the communal area. The room is one of the largest I’ve stayed in in Japanese hotels to date. Very much appreciated and just a 7-10 minute walk from the Kintetsu Nara train station. Wonderful! ありがとうございました🙇🏼♂️✨
Nice hotel, great location, less than 10 min walk to Nara station. Hotel was very clean and had a very nice breakfast. What impressed me was they provided everything, even face was and toner! And in the lobby, you could help yourself to amenities and drinks, and an area where you could soak your tired feet in hot stone! We could even "rent for free" things like extension cords and hair curlers. Am glad we booked another Centurion Hotel on our trip
Nara
Hotel right in the heart of Nara park. Sleeping in an establishment that is surrounded by beautiful nature and mesmerizing deers. More of a cozy feeling. When I arrived, staff made me feel like I came to stay at my old friend's house rather than a big business franchise. Introduced me to nearby touristic places and were eager to answer any questions that arise, both in English and Japanese. I would definitely stay here in the future.
Nara
Hilo Hostel is an amazing gem located near the train station. Close to all the tourist sights, easy access from train station. Squeaky cleanhostel, owner and family are very kind and helpful in every way. Reception, kitchen and dorms are exceptionally clean. Staying in Nara you get to avoid day tripper rush and can enjoy the morning and evening quiet of the area. Price to stay is also excellent. One of my favorite places to stay.
This is a very excellent Hotel, with the most convenient location of any hotel that I have experienced in Japan, just one short block from the Jr Nara train station. From the train station, buses can take you anywhere that you would want to go in the Nara area, and to me, the Nora area is the best and most important sightseeing in Japan. The breakfast is excellent, as are the rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Nara
I loved staying there. It's a traditional house that is really close to the train station and to the main sights in Nara and at the same time is located in a quiet, residential area. I'm very sensitive to noise so this was perfect. Besides, Yoko, the owner, is such a wonderful host. She brings the guests together for tea so I was meeting new people every day. And she plays Japanese instruments beautifully!
First off every single person working here is extremely polite and really makes you feel welcome. The Hotel is in a great location ~15 mins walk from Nara Station and slightly closer to Kintetsu-Nara station, very close to Nara Park and many other extremely beautiful spots. There are a lot of Cafés and Restaurants around. The room has a decent size, you get a Guide Book for Nara and some special green tea.
I booked the Super Hotel Premier JR Nara Eki only a few days prior to arrival in Nara and I am so glad I did. I was moving around Japan with a bicycle bag and related gear, so the location and convenience of this hotel was wonderful. The staff were very helpful at every turn and the facilities (e.g. laundry) were great. The breakfast was very good and I will definitely recommend this hotel to others.
We enjoyed Nara and the Nara Hotel very much! Very nice old hotel, but very nicely maintained, super clean. Fantastic atmosphere. Super comfortable beds and sheets. Delicious multiple course dinner and breakfast. In the middle of the Nara Park. You can go everywhere by walking. There are deers also in the park of the hotel. They are very cute bowing at you to get deer biscuits. Beautiful place!
Nara
Lovely Hotel and great onsen. The hotel is located at the heart of Nara and very convenient to spend more than just a day trip. Breakfast was lovely (we did the Japanese one). Onsen was gender separated and beautiful - especially the outside part, and had all add-ons you can wish for, including a tea station and a massage chair. Rooms were very spacious - unusual for Japan and comfy.
It's a traditional style guesthouse with tatami floors and low beds, very nice experience! Room and facilities were clean, on the ground level there is a common area with kitchen and fridge, available for guests, as well as some games. They have some leaflets about the city and tours available. Excelent, Nara is my favorite city in Japan so far!
Nara
The guesthouse was homey and comfortable. There is a communal table to eat dinner, breakfast etc rather than any lounging areas. I opted in for Junko's delicious breakfast and it was excellent. The house was located very near the Nara Hotel and Naramachi. It was atmospheric and away from the crowds.
Nara
I traveled with my family (7 people in total) and we loved how spacious and cozy was Nara Guesthouse 3F, offering both Japanese and Western rooms. We also loved the location - central, within walking distance from Kintetsu Nara Station, Nara Park, supermarkets, and dining facilities.
Nara
The view from the property over Nara is stunning. The seafood kaiseki on Saturday evening (our third night) was excellent. The free shuttle bus service is very helpful. The outdoor communal onsen are great, with beautiful touches like lamps and Japanese maple trees.
Everything. This is not 5 stars Hotel . This is 7 Stars Hotel . Everything was Brilliant, all the Staff were amazing from the first step to the Amazing rooms . Keep attention to each small details. BRAVO. Will definitely back to Nara and Stay in Shisui only .
