Great location close to the main JR Nara Station, also not that far from the Kintetsu one. Room was small but clean, staff very polite with acceptable English knowledge. There are tons of restaurants and shops within walking distance from the hotel, Nara Park is also not that far from the hotel!
Set in Nara, 4 km from Nara Station, Hotel Allamanda大人の隠れ家リゾート offers accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar.

Hotel Allamanda is located in a lost place, there is nothing nearby and the room is minimal. There is no breakfast nor dinner services although it is specified on Booking that it is possible to do so. On the other hand the price is really cheap, which probably explains the geographical location and the minimum service.
Only a 1-minute walk from the east exit of JR Nara Train Station, the modern Super Hotel Lohas boasts a natural hot-spring bath and a breakfast with fresh-baked bread.

Staying overnight and visiting the temples early in the morning was the key to enjoying Nara. Even in low season there were an overwhelming amount of people everywhere later on in the day, but at 8am we had the Todai-Ji Buddha complex basically to ourselves.

Nara is always a nice city to visit, with its numerous temples. Beware of the multiple deers roaming around and looking for food! To them, tourists are nothing but self-moving, all-you-can-eat, free food dispensers. Anything sticking out of your body (purse, belt, map, a sweater tied around your waist, just anything) will be seen as food and... eaten, or drooled on (yuk!). The best part is of course the Todaiji with its Daibutsu, but other temples are nice as well. In summer don't miss the Light Festival, when most of the stone lamps are lit up and the large front window of the Todaiji is open letting yousee the face of the Daibutsu from outside.

Nara is a place known for its beauty, both historically and in the present world. It served as the capital of Japan in 1600, and I believe it is the most scenic destination today. I have traveled to 80 locations in Japan, and while I recognize that there are many beautiful places beyond Nara, the connectivity to Nara and its unique atmosphere give it the top position in my heart.

So many shrines, such great photos everywhere!
So many shrines, such great photos everywhere!
Most of Nara is very walkable, and tho theres a lot of tourists, the deer seemed to take it in their stride.
I recommend also the Toy Museum where traditional toys are carefully demonstrated to you, the National Art museum and the Ire Taikichi photography museum which have special exhibitions.
I highly recommend RingRing in Shimomikada St in central Nara for a different and meaningful experience of making your own simple inscribed ring/s out of silver, gold or platinum from scratch. Only an hour!
I would like to return and stay longer in Kyoto/Nara area to soak up spiritual and creative atmosphere

Loved the park area with the deer temples shrines.
Loved the park area with the deer temples shrines. Nice little shopping area. 2 days were enough, unfortunately we had heavy rain, which impaired our exploring. Even good weather you can cover everything in 2 days

It was a fully automated hotel with a self-service bag drop. Very high tech. Check in and out were a breeze and the virtual counter staff (samurai and raptor projected on the wall behind the counter) were hilarious as they congratulated me for successfully checking in. There’s a bell to ring for assistance and the staff promptly appears if you need help.
Rooms were small but adequate and comfy.
The location was excellent. Super close to the train station and food/shops/Nara Park.
We loved everything! It was so safe, welcoming, clean and the staff were absolutely adorable! Thank you so much for your warm and wonderful welcome. We really hope to come back again and wish we could have stayed for longer.
We adored the little activities offered to guests and visitors and the Onsen was a real plus! We really loved Nara : such a magical town with an incredible feeling of peacefulness, which we also felt in the hotel.
MIROKU NARA by THE SHARE HOTELS is in an excellent location, just a short walk from Nara Park, making it easy to explore the beautiful surroundings and visit the famous deer. The hotel is also close to plenty of local eateries, making it convenient to find delicious food while strolling around. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and offers a cozy atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing stay.
Nice onsen, all the necessities to clean oneself after available, bottomless hot and cold drinks from 3PM to 11PM, ice lollies for free near onsen, free massage chairs, the breakfast buffet was nice, the location was super (opposite Nara train station).receptionists were very nice, helped me book another hotel night in another city in Japanese.
Beautiful hotel near JR NARA station. Breakfast had an excellent spread of Nara specialties , Japanese and western dishes. Didn't have time to experience their onsen but would definitely recommend it to fellow travelers.
