The views from this hotel are incredible, and the smell of the mountains was very soothing. We loved Hakuba. The rooms were extremely comfortable, the staff was exceptional, the views were outstanding, and the hospitality unbeatable. They have an onsen on site. One of the aspects I enjoyed was the bookshelves located on the second floor. I liked looking through the books and enjoying a quiet time in Hakuba, The location of the hotel was convenient to anything you could possibly want within the city, and was a great spot for traveling to Happo-One and Togakushi. When we were leaving, the gentleman at the front desk gave us a Hakuba calendar. It made my eyes water!

The room is incredibly cozy, modern and clean, elevated with an amazing view. Plenty of space with excellent amenities. Very nice cafe just downstairs as well as very helpful and friendly staff. Ostello comodo per la posizione, pulito e soprattutto accogliente. Il personale é fantastico, mi hanno dato conisgli di qualsiasi tipo, sia su cosa fare a nagano, sia dove andare a fare hike e dove mangiare. Insieme abbiamo anche fatto una hot pot dinner deliziosa. Tornerei a Nagano solo per stare a 1166 backpackers. Super consigliato.

Struttura tipica a Nagano, non molto lontana dalla stazione JR (qualche fermata di bus). Il ryokan è molto bello, con onsen interno. La stanza spaziosa e minimale. I bagni condivisi puliti, come in tutto il Giappone. Gli host, un’anziana coppia giapponese, non parla inglese ma sono super accoglienti e disponibili.

Ryokan fantastico, situato a 50 metri dal Tempio e nella zona più spirituale di Nagano.Gestito da una famiglia da sei generazioni si respira un aria di vero Giappone. Servizio impeccabile, colazione in vero stile giapponese. Un esperienza da provare Ci torneremo sicuramente

Camera di ostello con letti a castello per quattro persone non troppo grande ma molto pulita e dotata di ogni comfort. Nel centro di Nagano con negozi e ristoranti raggiungibili a piedi. Super consigliato!!

The place is luxurious/comfortable
The rustic cottage is in beautiful area and very clean and comfortable. The host and his wife were wonderful and so hospitable. They are some of the nicest people we have met on our trip! They even came to pick us up at the station and drove us to a late lunch after when they found out we had a long day and hadn’t eaten. We also enjoyed the peaceful surroundings! Thank you so much for making our stay for our son’s graduation at ISAK even more memorable😃
The location, excellent service, and ambiance make this an excellent choice for a place to stay in Karuizawa. The staff went above and beyond to help us with anything and everything, and our room was very comfortable.
The ambiance is excellent And the outdoor onsen is excellent. Would love to go again there with my friends.

The location was nice however because of late snow we were unable to get out and about and enjoy the property.

We loved the room and lobby/common area design. Myself and my two children (12yr and 14yr) loved the fort like sleeping area for the kids above the sofa bed and the storage in the steps. The beds were confortable and the shelving space along the feature wall was great. The board games, the swing and teepee, the fire, the bed like couches, the visual connection with nature, the communal tables. The space encourages connection and community amongst guests. Staff are friendly too. Closeby there was a beautiful bunch of boutique shops (artisan shops), restaurants and outdoor skating rink and nature trails.
