Kawamotoya was renovated in 2022 and now offers stylish apartments with Breakfast at the cafe are included. All apartments come with their own toilet and shower. Spotless clean, well equipped kitchen, great hot pools on site plus a public onsen two steps away, lovely and helpful English speaking staff, delicious pastries at the cafe, very quiet (although we didn’t have any neighbours during our stay), perfect location to see some stuff in the area within an hour drive, free laundry facility, very comfortable beds. In short, we had an amazing stay and will gladly come back. This is a very well run property.

Self-check, there is no staff but very clear instructions also in English. The pond view was amazing and in the morning we could spot a Tanuki on the other side of the pond. Really beautiful room and surroundings, it feels like a very luxurious camping.
