Hotel in Worcester
Steeped in 16th century heritage, Stanbrook Abbey Hotel offers a distinct escape in the Worcestershire countryside. Such a lovely place with kind, helpful staff and great food. Couldn't recommend it more and would stay again. We had an issue when we arrived of our rooms, which were meant to be close together, being far apart. They fixed in in minutes despite a 300+ guest wedding going on at the time. Dinner was great, they were very accomodating to my kids, and breakfast was also good. The whole place is interesting to look at and so pretty.

L'amuse Bouche restaurant was amazing. But need to book it. Loved the walk across the ridge from British Camp to the Worcestershire beacon and the Morgan car factory tour. Great Malvern is a lovely town with lots of character but be prepared for some hilly walks to get around. The Morgan pub was our favourite - fantastic selection of real ales and worth the walk to get there.
We visited mainly for the purpose of driving a Morgan three wheeler for a day, and had a wonderful time doing that, and exploring the countryside around the area. We also climbed the Worcestershire Beacon, which offers wonderful views and has a decent path (albeit a bit of a climb) to the top. We ate in The Swan in Hanley Swan, and the Inn at Welland, both excellent.
A great base from which to explore Worcestershire and Herefordshire. The hills are quite unique - easy walking and great views. Recommend the Swan air Hanley Swan as an atmospheric 'gastro' pub. Also 'Anupam' for good Indian food in Great Malvern.
The West Midlands safari park is the place to visit. Pleasant town, some other nice places around. Malvern hills and Worcestershire beacon are within a short drive< great places to visit.
Large Worcestershire village on main road between Worcester and Stratford. Lovely church with view and sheep close by. Two pubs. Excellent shop. Cricket ground. However, new housing developments above the centre risk overwhelming the rural atmosphere.
Very interesting town, with some beautiful buildings. We joined a guided walk from the tourist information office, which proved to be well worth while. There are one or two lovely little tea rooms, with homemade cakes. Restaurants were few and far between. We ate in the Wetherspoons twice, which wasn't what we expected. Having said that the food was good and good value. Also, if you get there early enough, the outside seating area has an excellent view. Getting around Great Malvern is Ok, but for the less mobile it would be tricky, as there are some steep streets. We enjoyed walking up to St. Anne's well and on to the Worcestershire beacon. The weather changed from being sunny when we set off, to blustery showers by the time we got to the beacon. Not a problem, just remember your raincoat. It is worth the effort, as the views are spectacular!
Lovely friendly county town. A great location for seeing interesting places in Shopshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Easy to get to Ludlow for markets and restaurants. Great views and walks on the Clee Hills. Many interesting black and white villages to visit and National Trust properties all within easy travelling distance.
Excellent base for touring Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Malvern is on a steep hill and eateries appear to be on the top of it!! A slow stroll is recommended especially for those less able than ourselves
We visited two National Trust properties in the area, Froome and Hanbury Hall which were excellent. We had a meal at the Grafton Manor hotel where we stayed overnight which was delicious. Worcestershire is a lovely part of the country to visit.
Lovely small market town. Everyone friendly, lovely independent shops and traders. Ideal place to stay quaint setting, but on the doorstep of Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire to explore
Kidderminster
A classic country house hotel, set in expansive grounds in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside. Beautifully restored, impressive but without being overly grand. Very comfortable, beautiful interiors and furnishings, well equipped rooms. The restaurant is superb. The service is impeccable, friendly but professional.
Broadwas
Room had a nice view of river. Food breakfast and evening meal was very good. Location was excellent for our purposes, lovely walks within easy reach of Worcestershire wildlife centres. Beer was very acceptable, being the local producer.
Great Malvern
Lovely apartment. Centrally but quietly located in town with the most fantastic views of the Priory and Severn Vale. The kitchen we especially enjoyed with lovely large pine table and large window with view of Worcestershire Beacon
Older property tastefully modernised. Breakfast good. The hotel is staffed by nice people who seem pleased to have you there. Rural Worcestershire is very underrated in attractiveness and the M5 is nearby for convenience.
For the low cost of rooms this hotel was adequate. There is not really alot more that can be said, other than perhaps the location is convenient for South Birmingham and North Worcestershire.
fantastic in town hotel with panoramic views of the worcestershire countryside.
Beautiful historic hotel in beautiful surroundings. Great staff. Lovely breakfast & very relaxing dining room.
great location & friendly staff
Smooth check-in. Quiet room at the back of the hotel this time, I have stayed in a room over the street before and that was very noisy. Room was clean, bathroom was well stocked. Only stayed a night, so perfect for our needs.
Super friendly and helpful staff. Very good food. Nice ambience!
The communication leading up to our booking was brilliant. When we checked in the process of smooth easy and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Throughout our stay the room was perfect the breakfast the meals the bar the spa and especially the staff just excellent I would fully recommend staying at this place and I will definitely be staying again. The staff just always seems to do that little bit extra was so friendly and knowledgeable about the area giving us advice. We were traveling with our dog and it always seem that they made an extra effort to make him feel special as well. I could give six stars rather than five I would
We LOVED this hotel. It's set on 19 acres in the heart of the Cotswolds. It got all the wonderful feel of an old manor house, but without the stuffiness of being too posh. We had excellent breakfasts and dinners every night. It really felt like staying in an old English manor house. Others we met come back here regularly and we understand why. We had a huge room.
The friendly and helpful staff
Everything was lovely, very quiet comfy bed friendly staff, very tasty food which I had the seabass ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ my partner had the fish and chips and my son did👍👍👍👍 and we all had the chocolate brownie for dessert ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ thank u. breakfast 😛🤪👌
The actual hotel is beautiful and very clean with friendly staff.
The location by the River Severn is fantastic, a couple of minutes walk to the town of Stourport. The hosts were very welcoming and informative. A great base for exploring this area . We visited Brockhampton Estate ( a gem ) Coughton Hall , Bewdley , Alcester and Worcester ( Three cheers for Miss Pearl and The Rough Diamonds )
