Ye Olde Talbot Hotel by Greene King Inns, hotel in Worcester

Opposite the cathedral, in the heart of beautiful Worcester, this charming traditional coaching inn dates back to the 13th century.

Amazing location and a super chill place to spend the weekend whilst visiting family. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area, the surrounding town/buildings are beautiful and it's separate from the bar so there isn't a ton of noise :)

This picturesque riverside hotel is a 5-minute walk from Worcester city centre, and a 2-minute walk from the Cathedral and Royal Worcester Porcelain Museum.

Breakfast was good . Room ok but limited river view. Room was really cold when we arrived.

This was the first time we had visited worcester.

This was the first time we had visited worcester. As it was in December it was all xmassy . We thought that the shopping area was very good and better than most other places we have visted. We also visited the Cathedral which was good. Parking costs were reasonable. We stayed at the Dewdrop Inn on the outskirts of Worcester and ate there.

It is both an historic city with many interesting churches, buildings and street scenes and also a good centre for visiting other places in the region e.g. Malvern, Hereford, Kidderminster , Stourport, Droitwich. There is a very good choice of pubs and restaurants. I am not a shopaholic but was delighted to find a very well stocked charity bookshop run by a local hospice.

The walk alongside the river and the amazing swan population: the beautiful Cathedral with it's fascinating history (and the Christmas tree exhibition on display there at the time of our visit); the pedestrianised shopping area which made strolling in the centre so pleasant.

A very nice City well worth a visit very easy to get around. We went for the Christmas fayre. but will like to visit in the summer. Would recommend the Horn & Trumpet Pub for breakfast very reasonable priced and only 2 minutes from the apartment.

The city is good with plenty to see and do.

The city is good with plenty to see and do. I spent most time in and around the ancient cathedral but also did a walking tour of the battle of Worcester, and walked out to visit: Worcester Porcelain Museum, the Lee & Perrins Factory, the cricket ground, Gheluvelt Park and an Edward VIII postbox. Walking is easy also the traffic is noisy on some of the main roads. I ate in local restaurants. A particulr favourite is the Charles II pub, near Cornmarket.

First of all, many thanks to the hotel staff for upgrading my room- how delightful was the two bedroom top floor apartment with beautiful Severn views! It just made my mid week break an absolute dream-thank you! The apartment was spacious, immaculate and with all facilities required, including fully equipped kitchen. The hotel location was perfect, few minutes walk to city centre and Worcester cathedral. Staff was kind and generous, offering a marvellous breakfast menu- far the best in the many years I travelled around the Britain.

Everything was perfect. The staff were brilliant, helpful, accommodating every request with a smile. The food was excellent, we had bar food, breakfast and dinner over the 2 nights we stayed and it was all delicious, beautifully presented and fault free. It is in a good location to visit Worcester, and beyond from. We felt it was great value for money and have stayed in more expensive hotels with far fewer good points. Definitely one to return to when next in the area.

Lovely old building in a great location , easy walking distance to the centre of Worcester. Staff polite and very helpful . Breakfast was lovely , nice choice of continental, homemade granola was delicious, hot food freshly cooked as made to order but again was delicious. Car parking available but the size of car park isn’t big and access road to the hotel can get congested. The room was a bit dated.

Very friendly and helpful staff. It’s not The Ritz, but I did not expect it to be. We six elderly friends met at the hotel for a night out in Worcester. Location perfect. Comfortable night’s sleep in my family room. Breakfast fry up with coffee/tea and orange juice was great value at £6.00.
