The people were amazing and so friendly.

The people were amazing and so friendly. The history of Great Malvern and the Abby was incredible. The Malvern Hills is a must although we did not make it to the top but what a beautiful sight. There is so much to see and do not to mention you can walk everywhere as everything is in close range. We enjoyed many coffees at Cafe Nero, it was amazing. We loved seeing so many locals walking their dogs and how the doggies are welcome everywhere, amazing. Christmas lunch was at the Blue Bell Inn and it was incredible. the food was excellent and the service was amazing.

Could have stayed longer and seen more, including much more of surrounding areas, but this was great for a midwinter break. We also visited Ledbury, Hereford, Worcester. In midwinter various museums are closed.

This really is an unexpected gem of a hotel, with several small rooms, bar, snug, etc, which are welcoming and quirky! We waited at an empty reception for just a few minutes to check in. Our bedroom was spacious and airy with a large bathroom with walk in shower. The hotel is spotlessly clean and breakfast was fabulous with a magnificent choice of food catering for every palette! The only negative for me was my lunch. My wife plumped for sea bass and raspberry tart with custard which she said was delicious. Unfortunately, I selected steak and ale pie which had obviously been left beneath a heat lamp as it had dried out, although the taste was lovely, followed by a rather dry American cheesecake. The only other negative was a lumpy pillow (but I'm sure that would have been changed had I asked). Overall, despite my food experience, it is a great hotel, with friendly staff and there is much to be recommended.

The hotel is in the centre of the town so you can get to all the shops, restaurants, bars and shops and Malvern Theatres without having to walk too far so if you are older or struggling to walk then it's ideal.

The best theatre, concert hall and cinema complex we know and all set in a pleasant park. We book so many plays that are due to transfer to the Westend in London. Not London prices and a fabulous modern theatre, with plenty of super toilets and cafe and bar, all under one roof. Easy to get to by train, a 10 minute walk away.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely dinner there - great food with very attentive service. The rooms were clean and spacious, with comfortable beds. Decent shower. The location in the middle of town was great - also easy to walk up into the hills. The best bit though was the breakfast. So scrummy and staff were amazingly helpful, even making breakfast "to go" for my teenage son who didn't manage to get down in time. Great service - lovely family run hotel -thanks!

The hotel was conveniently located for walks and sight-seeing. It is a popular spot and being isolated has to cater for both guests and day visitors. The catering and facilities were good and the staff ever attentive. Our room was comfortable and bathroom was fully functional and spacious. We we travelling with our small dog to attend a nearby show and our pet was well looked after by the friendly staff.

The age gives character and space which is missing from modern hotels. No matter how comfortable the bedroom, there are times we need to sit, chat, have coffee or read. This hotel offers those spaces with comfortable seating.
