Small city that is easy to hike around. The only thing that would limit this would be the dreary weather. Great day trip to the Giants Causeway. The free Ulster Museum was worth it and if you go for the last hour of the Titanic Museum it is £10.
Quiet , friendly village, beautiful beach, cafes , pubs were friendly and served the best homemade food I Recommend the cafe s fir stunning ulster breakfast , central bar and o Connor for lovely atmosphere and the best food ever
Belfast had lots of history with the shipyard & the new titanic exhibition. The ulster museum is set in botanic gardens & is worth a visit...it's not too big so you won't get bored! Botanic gardens are lovely for a picnic weather permitting. City hall & grounds are worth visiting & once you've done that have a coffee before you hit the shops. It's easy to walk around belfast or get on a tour bus if you plan to go further than the city centre
A wonderful, thriving city that deserves to reclaim it's place as a buzzing cosmopolitan locale. Art and culture are at the beating heart of this wonderful city. International Accounting firms, I.T. and legal firms have capitalised on the great work life balance Belfast can offer their staff by locating here. I recommend the Merchant Hotel for it's baroque style interior. Hipster culture alive and well in coffee shops and bars near Belfast central railway station and in the city centre. The Botanical gardens have underwent a multi-million pound renovation and the results are outstanding. Nearby Ulster museum and Queens University need to be visited. Titanic visit a must also. Foreign languages and accents abound from Lisburn road to the Waterfront. Tourists have recognized that Belfast is booming now and has a dazzling future. Miss at your peril! ;-)
Friendly people. Value taxis excellent informed staff, good value. Titanic museum amazing. Mount Stewart interesting tour of house, colourful gardens, & longer woodland walks. Ulster museum, botanic Gardens & hot house worth a visit. Morning Star &Amadeus In Belfast great food & friendly service
Loved Belfast went to all the attractions even got the zoo in thank you Belfast we will see you during June. Titanic normadic Belfast castle belfast zoo Ulster museum. We also visited the beautiful city. Botanic gardens absolutely beautiful
Definitely book a tour to the Giants Causeway while you're here- it's epic! I also really enjoyed visiting the Ulster Museum (it's free), and the Crumlin Road Gaol tour.
Trip was for Titanic experience which was excellent. Crumlin Road gaol well worth a visit and Ulster museum. For a great eating experience go to Grannies Annie's, very quirky restaurant.
The vibrant atmosphere, great shops, very good guides on hop on hop off bus tour. Try The Morning Star pub and restaurant in Pottingers Lane for excellent food. The Titanic museum is a must along with HMS Caroline for naval history buffs, also Ulster Museum. Put Belfast on your bucket list😁
My stay was short & directed at family research so would love to visit again to see more of Omagh & the area. Staff at Omagh Central Library & Mellon Migration Library beside Ulster American Folk Park were very helpful
Bushmills
Hotel is beautifully decorated, modern and spotlessly clean. Staff are very welcoming, helpful, friendly. Very comfortable rooms/beds...well equipped with kettle, hairdryer, tv etc. Food was excellent with a great selection. Full cooked ulster breakfast was delicious, as was the evening meal in the restaurant. Handy location to Giant's Causeway, Bushmills, Portrush etc We had a lovely relaxing stay and would certainly recommend! Special thanks to Louise and Eileen...was lovely to meet you both
Belfast
The accommodation was great. We’ve got spacious apartment on the top, the bedroom was in the turret which made it special experience. The entering process looked firstly complex (due to various codes to be used at various doors) but in fact it was easy. We’ve visited Belfast early in January hence expected not much people but city center was actually nicely busy, especially during Saturday night. Visited Ulster Museum, Titanic, port, botanic garden..and the street’s murals have astonishing quality.
Crumlin
the hotel was lovely ,staff very friendly , the room was beautiful everything you need and very clean and comfortable. the lounge was lovely decoration on point very comfy and relaxing . The owner even gave us a lift to airport as it was very early morning , Breakfast was amazing all the usual plus a lovely ulster breakfast set us up for the day Would highly reccomend staying here you wont regret it and very reasonably priced . we would def stay again
Central location for our trip Edel was very responsive to any question or requests The apartment is in St. Anne’s Square, which has its own parking garage (free parking) and wonderful restaurants. You must try Madame Pho’s Vietnamese street food. It is fantastic. A Centra is a block away, as is Ulster University. A Super Tesco and a shopping mall are a 10-minute walk down York Avenue. I look forward to staying there again!
Beautiful area lovely hosts, very family run, Bill and Joyce were lovely. It was very quiet and peaceful location. We thought it was excellent value, the day after we had a hotel that was twice the price which, which was very disappointing in comparison. Bill and Joyce’s was A short few minutes drive to Omagh and a lovely drive up to the Ulster museum and Gortin Glen park. We would go again and recommend it to anyone.
Belcoo
For a reasonable price I had a whole apartment with a good amount of space, cooking facilities, fridge, easy chairs etc.. Good location near food shop (has coffee machine) and bar (Maguires which served me a good evening meal). On the Ulster Way long distance walk. As the key was obtained with a code, I did not have to worry about arriving at a specific time, although the owner happened to drive by when I arrived.
Derry Londonderry
I truly enjoyed staying in a genuine Irish neighborhood rather then a touristic hotel. I also really appreciated the lovely terrace in back with a stunning view over the center of Derry. There’s a restaurant and bar on site, and we enjoyed a wonderful meal there the second night. The breakfast options were also excellent, including a traditional Ulster fry for only an additional £4.
The staff was very helpful to inquiries and luggage storage while exploring the city. The location was close to the botanical gardens and university with many choices for dining nearby. Walking distance to the university, botanical gardens and Ulster Museum. Breakfast was good (included).
Portadown
Room was clean and comfortable, lots of choice for breakfast, including an Ulster fry which was delicious. Gillian and other staff were pleasant and friendly. Location was good, hotel was within walking distance of shops, restaurants and bars.
The staff is incredible. They are always willing to help with anything. The staff far exceeded our expectations. The breakfast is underrated.. We were delighted to find out they offered a buffet style full ulster fry every morning!
With a short footpath between the Ulster Way and this hotel (avoiding a walk on a busy road) it made an ideal overnight stop. I am glad I did as the rooms were of a good size and the food was more adventurous than the usual fare.
Larne
Fried breakfast in the way that only Ulster folk can manage! The hotel was spotlessly clean and for those arriving on the ferry from Scotland, has the advantage of being only yards from the terminal. Plenty of on-street parking.
Great room at this centrally located hotel. Staff were very helpful and attentive (typical Northern Irish hospitality). Food / breakfast was plentiful and excellent choices including the local Ulster fry if you are up for it!
A very cosy boutique hotel in a magnificent setting on shores of Strangford Lough. Woke to a fabulous crisp clear sunny morning. Staff were very welcoming & helpful. Breakfast was a big plate of Ulsters best.
Bright, modern hotel set in really pleasant countryside. Accessible to Belfast and Ards Peninsula. Great location for touring the countryside or visiting Belfast. Close to Ulster Folk Park and Mount Stewart.
Very reasonable price, exceptionally good value. Very high standards, cleanliness is a priority and a super breakfast combination of buffet and Ulster fry, what more could anyone desire.
Comber
Modern hotel with pleasant rooms named after US presidents with Ulster heritage. we were put in the Jackson room which was a nice touch. Friendly host and nice breakfast.
Great location with very friendly and helpful staff. Super food with excellent choice. Perfect breakfast including properly cooked Ulster Fry,a rarity in hotels nowadays.
Very nice and clean hotel though not as modern as some .Staff very efficient and friendly .Food was excellent and a great Ulster Fry buffet breakfast ,will defo be back
For the price, I was surprised by how nice the facilities were. We were hiking the Ulster Way, so the hotel's location literally steps from the trail was perfect.
