The beautiful Marina has much to see and the enjoyable coastal walk that you can take to Holywood. Ballyholm is a 25 mins walk and has coffee and restaurants dotted along it.
Rge Arora swimming pool & train station to the Airport & Belfast is just on the door step.
The town itself is just basic but it's a holiday town.

Wonderful location by the sea.
Wonderful location by the sea. Fabulous views and walks along coastline.
Sad to see the town centre/shops so run down.
Bangor needs a facelift to restore it to its former glory.
A lot of good facilities for families and children, but less for adults

The Marina is beautiful and lovely walks all along the pier and seafront. Two beaches close by to Bangor which is great for kids. Pickie Fun Park is a wonderful spot, particularly for toddlers and young children. It's a short drive into Belfast where there are lots more attractions. Bangor is a busy spot but lots of places to eat and for coffee. We enjoyed our stay and could have spent a lot longer there. We found the people friendly and helpful overall.

Lovely friendly town with lots of nice eating and coffee places. Local shops are suffering like everywhere else but still has many nice wee specialist and gift shops; a big shopping complex just outside the actual town centre is very good. Taxi service excellent. Most of all Bangor has beautiful seascape scenery and interest. A perfect place for a peaceful get away.

We visit friends nearby but bought all the family on the last visit as it’s a good place to relax, we enjoy eating out in the underground restaurant and the Green Chilli Indian restaurant (good prices here, lovely food and take your own alcohol). Lovely walks along the coast, we enjoy walking from the marina, up and past the golf course. Some lovely independent shops and cafes and easy access elsewhere with regular trains and buses.

The town is very cosy, compact and full of sights.
The town is very cosy, compact and full of sights. You feel absolutely home, greeted by every passer by (and a doggy). Very clean, sea and rich greenery everywhere, perfect transport around, even a marvelous English (ESOL) school "Moving on center"! We enjoyed every minute there, though initially didn't plan staying there at all.
The apartment was absolutely gorgeous my son was so excited when he got there. It was sparkling clean. The beds were lovely and the towels were softer than most hotels.
Car park just up the road as I arrived late which was perfect I didn’t have to pay for parking. The area was quiet and check in and out was super easy
An absolute treasure of a hotel, superbly presented by the lovely Gillian who has to be one of Northern Irelands most welcoming and accommodating hosts. Keep being brilliant Gillian
