Hotel in Portree
In 15 acres of private grounds, this hotel features spectacular views over Portree Bay to the Cuillin Mountain range. It has an award-winning restaurant and a range of whiskeys on offer. Arrival and welcome was warm and friendly the receptionist insisted on helping carry the heavy suitcases up to the room, AND we were given a complementary upgrade to a bigger room. The room was fantastic with a perfect view over the harbour. Huge, comfortable bed and gigantic bathroom. There was a party until 2 am on our first night , just below our room, and we were worried it would keep us awake, but we heard absolutely nothing. We found a 3km (3 mile?) walking circuit around the coast and the hills leaving from the hotel, which we really enjoyed. Breakfast was excellent and every single one of the service staff were friendly helpful and professional

Edinbane
The room arrangement fit our party perfectly with separate bedrooms each with its own private bathroom. The kitchen and living areas were both very spacious with up to date appliances. The location was perfect for exploring all the different areas on the Isle of Skye. I can not say enough good things about the host. She was easy to contact and even made some last minute allowances for mistakes I made when renting the apartment. I was super thankful for her kindness. Anyone looking for a place to stay on Skye should try Owlswood.
Portree
Frankly, you would be lucky to score a room in this hotel. It is very small, four rooms only, it is family run. They take exceptional care of you. The hotel is well and very creatively designed, it is exceptionally clean. The attention to detail is unparalleled. The food created by Scott is on par with best restaurants we have eaten in. And every morning you have an opportunity to discuss your dinner with him. Murdo gives excellent advise on what to do on the Isle of Skye. One of the best hotel experiences ever.
Portree
On the Isle of Skye, one needs to check expectations about hotel costs. We probably paid for one night at this guest house more than anywhere else during our trip in Scotland. This is the reality of Isle of Skye, accommodations are exhorbitant and hard to find. Yet, the guest house was very nice, clean, comfortable and well located. The host was very nice, fun and welcoming and very helpful. While breakfast was not included, a CoOp is next door with fresh bread and bakeries available.
Raasay
This was by far the most beautiful hotel of our Scotland trip and we would definitely stay with Raasay House Hotel again. We loved the idyllic location with amazing views of Raasay and Isle of Skye. The dinner including the service was excellent, the staff was extremely helpful, and the regular ferries to Isle of Skye (around 25 minutes) depart just a few minutes away from the hotel. Bonus points for all the sheep, bunnies, and cows that make the dinner views even better.
Perfect place to be situated to travel and explore the Isle of Skye. For us it struck the perfect balance of a town that provided great facilities such as restaurants, shops, Petrol Garage, etc, but was also small enough to fit in with the environment and settings of the Isle of Skye. I LOVED the hotel, the room and the bathroom. Supremely comfortable and large bed, super friendly and helpful staff. Also a great restaurant within the Hotel if you needed it.

If you are looking for lovely accomodation on the isle of Skye, the Treaslane Bridge Hotel is the best choice! The house is located at the sea and you have wonderfull sea view from your appartment. The welcoming food packet was great for us, as we came to the hotel late , in the evening, freshly bottled milk in the fridge stole my heart! I thank you once again for great host and I recommend this newly designed house in the heart of nature :)))
Portree
Great apartment in Eyre, 7 miles north of Portree on the Isle of Skye. Good facilities, probably the best shower we have had for 5 weeks. Great hot water and easy to use, unlike many others. Very comfortable bed and nice breakfast each morning. Close to Portree and pubs, restaurants and the wild Scottish outdoors. Danielle was very easy to deal with, and her instructions on how to access the property were very helpful.
Portree
What an amazing place to stay. We rented both apartments and had a wonderful time. The apartments are beautifully designed and spacious. Right across the road from the Loch with lovely views and really peaceful. The added groceries were a pleasant surprise and made for a tasty breakfast the next day. There is so much to do on the Isle of Skye and one of our favourites was driving around the peninsula, breath-taking.
Gorgeous setting with beautiful views. We stayed in Room #15 which was amazing to look out at lighthouse and Loch. The staff was exceptional, friendly, helpful and fun to be around. The Isle of Skye is an incredible destination and staying at Hotel Eilean larmin made it perfect and a very special memory. Rooms are large and beautifully decorated. Dining at the hotel was elegant offering delicious meals.
Portree
We arrived in the dark and the views from the apartment upon sunrise was breathtaking!! The apartment was perfectly located to explore the Isle of Skye. The self help guide gave information about sights and restaurants which was very helpful. CoOp just down the road and restaurants and bars all within walking distance. Comfortable, clean and great communication with hosts. Will definitely return in Summer!
Marmalade was overall very nice, clean and cosy. The staffs were all lovely and we would like to give special thanks to Susan at the night shift. Susan was very helpful to our requirements. And even wrote us day trip routes recommendations! Overall recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Isle of Skye and we would love to visit again.
Broadford
The International Youth Hostel not far away is a better deal for the money. I stayed at both -- this one, like many private hostels is more geared toward making money than offering value. No question, both hostels are far cheaper than most of the accommodation on the Isle of Skye, but this was definitely in 2nd place for me.
Portree
A beautiful apartment in a perfect location for exploring the Isle of Skye. Lovely restaurants close by and shops to browse. So much to see and do on the island. Donnie was fabulous and answered any questions very quickly. Thank you Donnie for making our stay perfect, you add all the fine touches which was amazing!
The view from the rooms and the restaurant were breathtaking. Every aspect of the service was flawless. Our bottom line is that it is difficult to say whether the Isle of Skye is a reason to stay at the Cuillin Hills Hotel, or the Cuillin Hills Hotel is a reason to visit the Isle of Skye.
Great stay in fully equiped apartment, we wished we had stayed longer than 2 nights. Lots of thoughtfull gifts. Apartment was larger than expected. Many travelguides and maps which helped us to decide where to hike. Remote and peacefull location on the beautiful Isle of Skye.
Staffin
Host lives nearby, was there to greet us at night with a torch to light the way and gave us plenty of good advice. Apartment was warm and welcoming. Location is excellent, close to great hikes on Isle of Skye. Spacious and comfortable, well appointed kitchen.
Kyleakin
Hostel room for 5. Pub downstairs. Good for a 1 night stay. Not in the busy/main area of isle of Skye. Small shower to share between 4 rooms. Thin curtain so very bright at night time in summer.
Felt the hotel was overpriced for what it offered. Taking full advantage of the high demand for accommodation on the Isle of Skye. Would not recommend as I am sure you can find better elsewhere.
Portree
From location point of view, it's a great place to stay when visiting Portree and Isle of Skye. Great ease of check in and nice to be able to just park your car in front of the hotel.

Beautiful location, gorgeous apartment and so lovely and clean. We would 100% recommend this stay. Caitlin and Adam were great hosts and we had a wonderful week on the Isle of Skye!
