It was a very cute house and much bigger than we expected . Great for a large family or group of friends . It was only two of us so we only used a bedroom and were out most of the time so we did not use any of the facilities .
It was nice to have a washer and dryer and the location could not have been better . It was more like staying at a friends house than a vacation rental which I’m sure some people love .

Marvellous hosts, dream location just across from the water, never slept so well. Room was spacious with all the appointments and breakfast was well laid out for choice. Stay again in a blink.

we arrived around 3pm on the Thursday, there was a note on the door to tell you where to go to pick up keys and that check in wasn't until 4pm. We went to see if there was a chance of checking in early but there was no one there. we went to see if the attatched bar/restaurant was open to get a drink but that didn't open until 4.30pm, we went to another nearby bar where we had a couple of drinks and a lovely chat with the barman. We went back again around 4.10pm and there was still no one there we were about to go out again when a lady appeared, she gave us our room key and slips for breakfast, we went tour room which was in the eaves of the house room was very small and cramped the tea and coffe tray was on a chair below the hangers for your clothes/coats which wasn't ideal. We went into the ajoined bar had a couple of drinks and had a look at the menu

The location was just for a stop over on our way to Falkirk.
The location was just for a stop over on our way to Falkirk.
The bed had seen better days as the springs had gone and were very uncomfortable and noisy with little movement. The floorboards also were very noisy from upstairs and when moving around the room.

A great breakfast. The staff could not do enough for you from serving you at breakfast to taking your drinks orders from your table. Spotlessly clean room with ensuite and sea view. I would highly recommend.

Scenery was nice.
Scenery was nice. You definitely need a car as a lot of walking and also you are depending on transport, which is unreliable. No shops only the Coop. If you have no car you have to walk over two bridges and back to get food. A few restaurants.Didn’t realise how far the guest house from the station was. We walked it in bad weather and it took us nearly 40 mins. It was definitely an experience. It’s a day visit place or a base to drive to other places.

The shops do get overrun by tourists often so can be difficult to get basic needs when coachloads of people are trying to get trinkets and tatt. But the views from everywhere on this island are stunning, no matter where. Kyleakin is just the first of many on your journey round.
We arrived at White Heather Hotel and were blown away by the location. Right on the water with the most beautiful views, the owner was so friendly and offered us all kinds of recommendations on places to eat (even offering to book us a table as it can get very busy) and offering local tips on places to visit. The breakfast was exceptional and the bed was SO comfy! I would highly recommend this beautiful B&B to anyone visiting Skye!
This was a very expensive hotel. It seems to me the owners are cashing in on the fact they can charge any price for anything on Skye. I think for £168 they could have thrown in a coffee and a piece of toast for breakfast! Instead they charge an extortionate £14 for breakfast.
Motorcycle friendly, Warm twin room with en-suite shower, wash basin and toilet., small TV and tea coffee making facilities in room...clean and comfortable at the end of a days riding on Isle of Skye. Would stay again. Friendly staff.
