This is a great B&B experience! The room is comfortable and feels very private. There is a great variety of breakfast options, and every one that we tried was absolutely delicious. Most of all, Vicki is a wonderful hostess -- helpful, friendly, and gracious. We enjoyed our conversations with her and meeting her sweet chickens. This was a lovely, welcoming place to be!

Lealt Falls Apartment, hotel in Kilmaluag

Offering a garden, Lealt Falls Apartment provides accommodations in Culnacnoc. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property.

The location of the apartment was absolutely phenomenal! The apartment was a great home base for hiking and all our Isle of Skye adventures letting us stay closer to hikes and nature without being too far away from restaurants and a grocery store. The apartment was beautifully stocked for our arrival and we definitely made use of the warm loaf of bread, cereal, milk, and OJ left for us. Having a small stovetop and oven made it easy to be self sufficient making hot breakfasts and enabling us to easily pack lunches.

This B&B is at the top of a hill overlooking the Uig harbor with spectacular views. The room & bathroom were a teensy bit small but manageable. Delicious breakfast and Shirley was very helpful with giving local directions. She also greeted us with homemade Shortbread hot out of the oven. Soooo good.

A lovely, spacious room provided with robes, house slippers, nice selection of teas and coffee. Nice linens and a comfortable bed. Very large bath towels and a hot towel rack. Free large parking lot nearby. We had a nice check-in with Lindsey. We had made dinner reservations for here but they let us know ahead of time they were short staffed and they would not be serving dinner that evening. The property is immaculate clean.

Kilmaluag is perfect for those seeking a less touristy experience and quiet. The landscape is breathtaking. Make sure you give way to the locals as they seem to be mostly hardworking farmers. Avoid the Skye Hotel for dinner as very overpriced. Taking a trip to Portree is less expensive and probably tastier. Buses do run in the area. Hiking for the Quiraing and the Old Man of Storr are nearby. The fairy glen can be skipped. Hard to access and not worth it unless you enjoy geological formations.

On the northern end of the Isle of Skye we had the tremendous opportunity to stay at The Bridge B&B. It was very clean, the room was spacious, it was furnished lavishly with a comfortable couch in the room, and it had a private bath with both a tub and a separate shower. We had our own table reserved with our room number on it. There was a stocked refrigerator for each room with milk, juice, fresh berries, cheese, meat and other good things for breakfast. The breakfast was continental; but, there were freshly made elaborate puddings and still warm freshly made bread. Fiona had Nadine and her husband look after our every need. The organization of the operation was un-paralleled. It was remotely located in a farming community and had a spectacular view of the farms and ocean. We were able to easily use this B&B as a center of operations and were able to see all of the Isle of Skye from the convenient location. It was fabulous stay, we stayed five nights and had all of our needs met.

We had to drive great distance to get to our accommodation at almost the top of Isle of Skye so it proved to be a long trip to get to The Fairy Pools and various other place Skye had to offer. Lovely place if you just want to relax and enjoy being out in the country. The roads around the area are very narrow with a lot of pot holes....Scotland needs to spend a lot of money on roads around the country as ghey are Ina bad state.

Beautiful scenery, great areas to walk, near the sea.

Beautiful scenery, great areas to walk, near the sea. We visited Kilt Rock, took photos of the waterfall. great base, quiet. Nice romantic getaway. The pot holes on the isle of Skye are really bad in places especially when travelling in the dark as they are hard to see. we were aware that this is an issue so drove very slowly in the dark.

Everything was fantastic, the cottage was in a stunning location with amazing views from every window. The cottage was extremely clean, tidy and really cosy with a great wood burning stove. The kitchen was really well equipped with lots of things that can more often than not,not be there in self-catering properties. The hosts were brilliant, very welcoming, friendly, helpful and informative about the local area.

The facilities were very adequate but not well maintained.

The facilities were very adequate but not well maintained. There were a number of issues that, since we are familiar with tools and technology we were able to address some of the issues to meet needs. There clearly was a need for updating the facilities and resupply the kitchen. The cottages are in the country with no restaurants close, so we did our own cooking. Skye is not a large island so traveling to another location is not very time consuming with the exception of single lane roads, requires slow going. Staying in Portree or other parts of the island nearer restaurants or pubs would have been more pleasant for us.
