We enjoyed the seclusion of this property. The chalet was perfect and clean with extras such as fresh hens eggs, homemade jam, homemade pastries, milk, coffee, and tea. Karen provides a surprise for those who stay for at least four nights! Karen and John encouraged us to get out and about on their property including interacting with the days old lamb, petting the pigs, and collecting hens eggs. My husband, nicknamed Anchor Man by Karen, took him with her on the quad to check on the sheep before sunset. It was lambing season and the ewes and lambs were checked on throughout the day. They took us on a tour of their property and up to the top of the hill for awesome views. Karen and John were always available to answer questions about their work and about the area. Our four days there went too quickly! We plan to return!
May your anchors always hold fast and your boomerangs return to ye.

The view is amazing, the small log burner is so cozy, all the small details were thought of from a welcome dram to hot chocolate and marshmallows. Wifi connection, great shower, fluffy bedding, all the utensils required for self catering, Mark and Ann thought of everything. Can’t wait to come back.
Location is quiet and secluded.

It was towards the end of our trip and had a washer. No dryer but a drying rack was provided. We decided we were too tired to just stay one night and we were able to stay an additional night. The view down by the lighthouse was absolutely stunning! We do not recommend the gift shop next door, way over priced.

The view is spectacular!! The room was spacious for 3 plus luggage. The owners pleasant and helpful. Continental breakfast offered lots of options, including French press coffee! The location is only a few minutes away from Portree, so very convenient. We would recommend to friends.
Dunvegan Castle and Garden is a must-visit. Very little traffic and easy to get around. Distances are deceiving because of the narrow windy roads - passing places are an experience!
We had a great lunch at The Three Chimneys just outside Duvegan

Surprisingly little there, used as a base for 3 nights, should really have done for 2. Dunvegan Castle nearby and worth a visit. Limited places to eat. Had to drive to get to anywhere including start of walks.

Wonderful little town with so many gems if you take the time to explore! Check out the Angus McCaskill museum for some quirky entertainment; the School House for a wonderful, hearty meal; Dunvegan Castle for a fantastic history lesson and some great walking paths; Two Churches walk up to the standing stone; and Misty's for a quick bite and some ice cream. Easy-to-walk town with friendly people.

Dunvegan is in a beautiful area of Skye and centrally located with easy access to the Cullins, and Portree. The weather was rainy most of the visit but we still managed to have a wonderful time and see the sights.

Dunvegan is in the North of the island, perfect for visiting Dunvegan castle, the coral beaches, Neist Point light house, carbost and the talisker distillery. Plenty of walks in and around the area. One negative is the state of the roads....beware! Potholes are everywhere

Dunvegan suffering a wee bit like many places from lack of staff making some hotels ,restaurants having to reduce opening hours but dont let that put you off as always somewhere open . It will get better as more tourists arrive ,our trip was very much at the end of a very strange summer season .We have stayed in the area many times and will most certainly return before too long .

Very well set up property with all facilities you would need to self cater. Everything was clearly labeled as to how to use or not use. Bed was great, shower excellent and kitchen equipment plentiful. It is in a beautiful sheltered location for walking or exploring by car. We would love to come back some day. lots of information about what to do on Skye and many books to read, this really is a home away from home.
Great welcome and host, Martin, was excellent. Room was clean and very comfortable. Fantastic location and a delicious breakfast. Will definitely stay at Roskhill House again when back on the beautiful island of Skye.
MENU FOR BREAKFAST CHOICE WAS OUTSTANDING AS WAS THE QUALITY OF FOOD AND COOKING.
The location and view at the end of the Loch was superb.
The hosts were welcoming and extremely helpful.
