Boasting a garden, Refugio del Jaguar is situated in Medellín in the Antioquia region, 100 metres from El Poblado Park and 600 metres from Lleras Park. Everything was fantastic! The hotel is beautifully decorated and very cosy. Every team member we spoke to was incredibly polite, warm and fun. English and Spanish are accommodated. The room was lovely with a ceiling fan and lovely bathroom with a very good shower. The rooms don't have windows to reduce noise from the neighborhood which helped me to sleep very soundly. Breakfast was a simple but delicious local selection of arepas, eggs, etc. I just loved the place and the people working there.

The Real City walking tour is a must! The metro is very efficient (avoid rush hour) with easy access to most must-see sights. The museum at the Universidad de Antioquia is fabulous. And take a day trip to Guatape and the Piedra de Penol -awesome! Tip: be sure to carry with you some sort of ID (copy of your passport, etc.) as you will be asked for it in some of the most unlikely places.
Medellín is a beautiful city full of wonderful attractions and the friendliest people! I was only there for two and a half days, but I enjoyed every minute. I spent one day in Parque Arvi and hiked in the cooler weather above the city. Museo Antioquia had great exhibits and collections well worth the price. The food was great and staying in El Poblado, I had all the food varieties very close to my hostel.
Downtown is a bit seedy but with some good things to see eg plaza Botero and Museo di Antioquia. WEdid it with Real City Tours (highly recommend). Trip on cable car to suburbs and a visit to Communa 13 were fantastic and a must do. Suggest taking a tour of Communa 13 so some one can explain history and meaning behind of the graffiti.
Amazing views, museums, outdoor spaces, transit system. Check out Plaza Botero, museo Antioquia, cable cars, Comuna 13 ( there's a little cafe to the left as you're going up the escalators - way cool).
Everyone I know falls in love with Medellin and Antioquia (The State). There are so many things to do and see. The food is so inexpensive and wonderful. You just have to be aware of not carrying a lot of money, jewelry, or using or flashing your phone around in public. Taxis are everywhere and they're very cheap, especially for groups. The metro makes it easy to get around the city quickly and inexpensively. Bars and restaurants are everywhere and the malls are huge and gorgeous. There are museums and plenty of beautiful towns to visit nearby. Other than that, I love this place!
Medellin is a really interesting city. Festival of Flowers was on, we loved seeing the amazing floral creations. Museo de Antioquia is a must visit, Bolero's art is incredible. The people are wonderful, and public transport as good as anywhere on planet earth.
My favourite cultural heritage village in Antioquia. It only takes 3 hours driving from Medellin. People can go hiking and cycling along awesome routes with waterfalls.

Amazing location. Your between Rio negro and El Carmen. A few minutes in each direction and your in the center of each town. Very relaxing stay. Beautiful hotel. Everything is brand new. The views of the gardens are all around you. Gated access makes for amazing security. Easy location to find, just across from the university of antioquia (east campus). The staff very friendly and helpful. We are definitely staying here again
Al Alma is a stunning hotel. The rooms, common areas, and pool are so tastefully designed and decorated. It is a truly beautiful place to stay. The staff are wonderful, helpful, friendly, everything you could hope for. The food at the restaurant is also the best food we had in Santa Fe de antioquia. The highlight of our whole visit was the hotel itself. I highly recommend staying there.
I never thought a place like this could exist in Colombia. It is not only the hotel but its surroundings, I felt as if I was in one of the books by Garcia Márquez. Andrés Restrepo, its owner, is a wise, kind and generous man who will share with you information so you can travel around the area. Quite close to Jericó, Ciudad Bolivar, Hispania, Jardin and Santa Fe de Antioquia.
The location is about 15 minutes ride from the International Airport José María Córdova to the "Finca Hotel Zona Franca" in Rionegro, Antioquia, Colombia. Also, the location gives you a "FINCA" (Ranch or Farmhouse) countryside panoramic view. The small hills surrounding the location gives you the sensation to be in a vast countryside area.
Our visit to Hotel Santa Barbara Colonial in Santa Fe de Antioquia was remarkable. The hotel's colonial charm, coupled with modern comforts, provided a perfect romantic setting. Its central location allowed easy exploration of the city’s rich history and culture. The rooms radiated a blend of elegance and comfort, offering a tranquil escape.
A marvellous historical property located in the centre of Santa Fe de Antioquia. The decoration is superb with many antiques throughout the hotel. It's definitely the place to stay in Santa Fe de Antioquia.
This place is cheap and blissfully quiet during the week. I suspect most hotels in Santa Fe de Antioquia are like this. On weekends crowds arrive from Medellin, and it can be noisy.

It was fantastic! Beautiful property, they've got a pool, jacuzzi, a dock with boats that you can rent, a beach at the lake, its right across the street from El Peñol Rock. Staff was very attentive and kind. I'm definitely coming back. Breakfast was great too!
We spent an exceptionally beautiful time at Levit Glamping and recommend staying here 100%! From the very first second we were just amazed by the beauty of this place. The location is spectacular: Directly by the lake and super calm and private with no other buildings around - only stunning nature. Because of the silence you’re able to hear (and watch) all the birds and completely relax. The place itself is super cute and you can feel the love they put into it. All the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive - the whole time we felt welcomed and well cared for in a very genuine way. During movie night they even surprised us with popcorn which was adorable. The bathroom was clean and modern plus the shower had a very good water pressure. Another big plus were the three adorable dogs which made us feel super safe at night. :) The place also offers activities like educational walks through the forest and you can use their kayaks anytime during the day, which we sadly didn’t have any time for since we only stayed one night. Next time we’re gonna try and come back for longer. Definitely stay here if you want to be able to enjoy a beautiful, relaxing time away from everything!
