The fact this hotel is located on the top of the mountains is amazing. The rooms all had excellent views of the +3.000m mountains. Moreover, I was impressed that there was breakfast AND dinner included in the price. The food was served with high quality and a great selection from everything and any dietary restrictions.

Set amidst the mountains of the Hohe Tauern National Park, the 4-star superior hotel Naturhotel Outside is located in the centre of Matrei in East Tyrol. Each room has a balcony with mountain views. We recently stayed at this hotel, and while the property itself is well-maintained and the staff incredibly friendly, our experience was marred by an unexpected and disruptive renovation project. Just before our arrival, they began renovating the outdoor swimming pool, which made mornings unbearable due to loud construction noise. The noise also drastically altered the view from our room, replacing the serene mountainscape with a construction site. The hotel did offer a small discount for the inconvenience, but had we known about the renovation before booking, we would have considered canceling our stay entirely. Unfortunately, we weren’t given that option, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the buffet breakfast and dinner were both enjoyable, and the property itself is charming. Still, the noise and the construction site view significantly impacted our overall experience.

Wanderhotel Taurerwirt features a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Kals am Großglockner. It's a lovely family run hotel, situated on perfect location right next to the Hohe Tauern Nationalpark. Makes it ideal for hiking and bike riding. Although the hotel was full, the atmosphere was really calm, quite and relaxing. You can use all the facitlies free of charge (car garrage, storage, pool, saunas, gym...) Besides brekfast and dinner there is also a coffee/tea break from 1 to 3pm when the cakes, coffee and tea are served also for free. We have highly appreciated this option after outdoor activities. But most of all we have liked the super friendly atmosphere between both the staff and other guests, like we know eachother for years :)

Mums sanāca pamodināt recepcijas darbinieku, jo nezinājām, bet bija ļoti atsaucīgs, laipns. Viss tīrs, ērtas gultas, klusa vieta.
