The property is non-smoking and is situated 6 km from Askham Hall. On arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to be told that we had been given a room upgrade and what a lovely room it was, more like a suite, with a separate seating area with its own TV in addition to the one in the bedroom area. Breakfasts were excellent, as were lunch and dinner over the two night stay. Staff were all lovely and very obliging. We hadn’t stayed here previously, although we had been a few times and had meals/drinks outside overlooking the river but we will definitely come back soon.

The apartments are located within 1 km from Carlisle Castle and 7.2 km from Todhills Rest Area M6. The staff at the hotel and at the restaurant were extremely friendly and helpful. The apartment was very spacious and clean. The bed was comfy and the facility was great.

A delicious breakfast is provided each morning in the chandelier-lit dining room, which has a log-burning stove for the colder months. Full cooked options are served, along with cereals, yoghurts. The Guest House is very well decorated clean and fresh. Our bedroom was a good size very comfortable bed with a TV and tea and coffee facilities. Excellent shower is very powerful in a separate cubicle. There is a small lounge for guests to use with a fridge and microwave. Very nice dining room and breakfast was excellent with friendly accommodating staff. Looked a bit out of the way on the map but perfect location as a base for touring the lakes. Bus stop outside. Londis supermarket next door at the garage that stocks most things you might want including food and drinks. Five min walk to a lovely pub that had a good choice of drinks and great food menu. What we had was excellent. On site car park We were very pleased with our choice and happy to recommend.

Each stylish room has fresh light décor. Excellent location. Was able to purchase early parking and check in. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The hotel was clean, bright, modern and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, fruit juices, fruit, yogurt, granola and cereals and a great selection of cooked breakfast choices.

Located in a tranquil area just behind Tebay Services, with convenient access from the M6. The hotel boasts a garden with a pond, as well as an on-site bar and a restaurant. Excellent food and helpful staff

Windermere Hillthwaite Hotel has an elevated position and a terrace with stunning views towards Lake Windermere and the mountains beyond. Some rooms also have views towards the lake and mountains. There is also a guest lounge with a log fire and lake views. the staff were lovely. the hotel was spotless

A 5-minute drive from Bassenthwaite Lake, Ravenstone Manor is an 19th-century manor house set in 3 hectares of ground. The property is at the foot of Skiddaw, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake. It offers stone walls and en suite bathrooms. Really enjoyed our stay with our cocker spaniel Willow. Very homely and comfortable. All staff excellent. Will definitely return.

We had an absolutely wonderful 2-day stay at Longsdale House Luxury Apartments in Ulverston. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The apartment was immaculate, beautifully furnished, and equipped with every amenity we could need for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail was impressive – from the cozy bedding to the thoughtful touches like complimentary toiletries and a well-stocked kitchen. The living space was spacious yet cozy, making it ideal for both relaxing and spending quality family time. The location was perfect for exploring the Lake District, with easy access to local attractions while still being tucked away in a peaceful, charming area.
