Alan, Sue and the team do a cracking job of looking after their guests. We were made so welcome and they couldn’t have been more hospitable. Everywhere is clean and well maintained to a high standard. Meals we had (breakfast and dinner) were all exceptional and cooked with fresh ingredients.
We loved relaxing by the fire with a glass of wine.

Grange Manor is an exceptional B&B set in woodlands. We stayed in the lovely, spacious Chiffchaff room :-
good quality furnishings - a huge comfortable bed - an excellent breakfast was served in our room, which we think is a great idea as you can relax and get ready at your leisure - huge bathroom with a wonderful stand alone roll top bath and huge shower - private hot tub and sun loungers in your own private garden. Other facilities include a fridge, quality glasses and wine bottler cooler, safe deposit box, extra towels for the hot tub (and plastic glasses), quality toiletries, mini macaroons on arrival, sleep pillow spray, chocolates. It is a good 10-15 minute walk into town but easy to take the car down as a number of car parks. Our stay has been so good that we will book a return visit before we leave. Thank you to the professional and friendly Holly and Corey for making us so welcome.

Lovely location, very dog friendly, more dogs than people on some days, but all well behaved. The room was fantastic. Lovely views from a large picture window, bed very comfortable, large bathroom with bath and shower, . Restaurant had a small choice but enjoyed what we had, and sunday dinner was nice also. We were lucky with the weather, so we were able to enjoy drinks in the sun on the terrace. I am very pleased with our stay, and we will definitely book again.
A fantastic stay at Uplands Inn cartmel. Staff were friendly and couldn't do enough. Was made to feel very welcome. Dylan went above and beyond making myself and my partner welcome. Even had the firepit lit outside while we also star gazed. He is a legend! Food was amazing. Rooms were very clean and beds were so comfy. Wonderful location and views. Dog friendly also. Will definitely visit again
The whole experience was great. Very nice room, helpful and professional staff, an owner who is genuinely interested in your well being and enjoyment and a good bar and food. As dog owners, it is always great to stay in a genuinely dog friendly venue like this, not somewhere where it is essentially an afterthought or to tick a box. Location superb.
Its a very peaceful location, lovely walled gardens, well tended to, nice for a stroll around and recharge! We had the whole grounds to ourselves, no one else in stay. Our dogs enjoyed the freedom of running around the grounds too. The cottage is quite bijou, clean and well equiped kitchen. The bed is so comfy!
We met the lovely cleaning lady&doggies, very nice and chatty!
