Very welcoming hosts who went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed for a comfy stay. We were travelling with our dog so we’re given a ground floor room with access out into a patio area. Spacious room with modern ensuite. Everything was spotless and the food was excellent. Spotlessly clean with good appliances for cooking.
Super "dog friendly." unlike others places that say this. The Mansion really made our dog welcome. We never felt marginalised like other places. The breakfast, room and facilities were excellent, especially the swimming pool.
The b&b was lovely, Cathy was so nice and her lovely little dogs too. Breakfast was really good, lots of choice . The room was very spacious, lots of little extras . If we ever pass through the area again, we will definitely come back ..
The location is perfect for access to the western part of the Lake District. The hotel was spotless, the mattresses nice and firm, and the bathrooms were incredibly clean. It was quite peaceful and quiet. Rooms are a bit small but I'm probably more used to American-sized rooms, which tend, on average, to be more spacious. The area where the hotel is located is also good for short dog walks for those traveling with a pet.
