Large living room with separate bedroom. There was a well equipped, small kitchenette. A large, very clean bathroom. The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet. There were several facilities for fishermen. It was very pleasant to sit on the deck and watch the birds. It was a short walk to the river. There were laundry facilities on site. We loved the place.

Absolutely fantastic! Smart TV, nice views from the room, comfortable bed, sink/fridge, tea kettle, owners are great! Great value, hot tub!! You can watch TV from the hot tub. Hot tub is big enough for two, so very romantic too.

All apartments include a fully equipped kitchen, ceramic hot plate and under floor central heating. Facilities include a thermal-heated swimming pool, poolside bar, shared barbecue facilities and laundry. Very spacious, comfortable, clean, well-equipped room with a great view. Barry was very welcoming and helpful. Ample convenient parking. The shower was powerful with an abundance of hot water. Nice that teabags and milk were provided too.
Te Aroha

Fantastic motel - service, cleanliness, lovely room...everything. We needed a late check in and this was not a problem - heating had been turned on in the room (thank goodness), and very helpful staff everytime we rang about our changing checkin. Just brilliant.
Convenient location and good kitchen facilities. Beautiful view outside the Motel, very dreamy. Heat pump in the rooms was a welcome addition to keeping warm in -1° temperature outside
Free Parking inside the Facility, close to shops and beach. Dairy few meters walk from the motel. Tidy room and clean. Spacious and easy access. Kitchen utensils provided.
Standard motel room with older-style fittings and with a good view of Lake Taupo, and quite comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the spa after walking the Tongariro Crossing. A pleasant walk into the centre of the town, and a good coffee van located just across the road and along a bit.
The room was huge!!! I was originally going to have a friend come to stay as well but she couldn't make it. It's not modern but I like the old schoolness of it. Great location, and I found free parking on the road 10 mins walk away which was fine for me. Awesome restaurants - I recommend the kebab place next door and naughty naan across the rd - both open late. Naughty Naan is by far the best Indian food I have ever had! Friendly, helpful staff.
Good location on Waihi's outskirts, free parking outside the motel, fairly spacious living space and clean bathroom.
Booked a upgrade so that I could have a two bedroom unit off the road. When I arrived at 4.45pm there was a large pipe on the road outside the motel blocking access to the unit that I had booked so stayed in a one bedroom unit on other side of road. Very noisy as right by road and basic unit with no extras. Adequate but nothing special.
We stayed in a ground floor apartment with spa. Great size. Loved the thermal pool at the Motor Lodge, especially as we were staying in Winter so it was quite cold outside but the pool definitely warmed us up. Very clean rooms and you can see the decor has been updated/refreshed recently. The rooms were also very warm due to thermal under floor heating. Would absolutely stay here again especially with the lake front views that the motel offers.
