The room was very clean and tidy, the beds were super confortable, there was a spa bath and bbq also which were great additions and the Motel was handy to all local amenities.

we didn't know when we booked about the roadworks on the road outside the motel, and were very happy the motel put us in a downstairs quiet room. Thank you!. The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious and without the roadworks would have had access to the lake across the road. We didn't see the staff but were given the code for the box the get our room key, very covid friendly
Standard motel room with older-style fittings and with a good view of Lake Taupo, and quite comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the spa after walking the Tongariro Crossing. A pleasant walk into the centre of the town, and a good coffee van located just across the road and along a bit.
Great motel, contactless check in went smoothly, room was a good size and once again i went for the spa bath option which was really awesome after a long day on the road. Bed is comfortable and although i didn't meet the owners the cleaning staff are very friendly.
We stayed in a ground floor apartment with spa. Great size. Loved the thermal pool at the Motor Lodge, especially as we were staying in Winter so it was quite cold outside but the pool definitely warmed us up.
Very clean rooms and you can see the decor has been updated/refreshed recently. The rooms were also very warm due to thermal under floor heating. Would absolutely stay here again especially with the lake front views that the motel offers.
Excellent location and extremely kind staff who went above and beyond to help us out. We had a parcel go missing that was directed to the motel and they were so patient, kind and helpful in doing what they could to resolve the issue. The rooms have great cooking facilities for a motel, and housekeeping were non-intrusive with times. Free parking and a good amount of free wi-fi was also exciting.
