Set in tranquil surroundings with large landscaped grounds and a picturesque garden terrace with mountain views, Tongariro Crossing Lodge offers uniquely spacious rooms with historic character. The staff provided exceptional guidance so that we could take stunning views of the mountains during sunset. Very high quality breakfast. Overall, exceeded my expectations in this rather remote/resource limited (to a city person at least) location.

Garden seating near a stream. Use of a hot tub and sauna. Residents lounge was relaxing at the end of the evening. Good breakfast. Warm, friendly and informative owners.

Turangi is 41 km from the property. we love this place, nice beds, friendly staff, love the communcal area as it is spacious and kitchen well equipped. Owner knows so much about the region and the location if perfect for all outings in and around tongariro area.

Featuring amazing views of Mt Ruapehu, 2 hot tubs and a restaurant with a large deck area, Kings Ohakune is 2 minutes’ walk from Ohakune Station and 3 minutes' walk from the start of the Ohakune... Perfect location. Clean and tidy rooms. Nice and warm. The heater was already on for our arrival. Everything you need for a nice stay. Staff were so helpful and welcoming. Couldn't of asked for anything more!! The spa pools were fantastic!!
