If you want four in one: a very nice apartment, a delicious varied breakfast, a great location, and a friendly atmosphere, you should stay at B&B El Olivar. The owner, Joseph, is a smiling, friendly, and extremely attentive man. On the first day, he kindly drove us around San Isidro to familiarize us with the area. The next day, my husband felt sick. Joseph took us to the hospital, helped us communicate with doctors, and sort out insurance issues. We felt so comfortable under his care that we decided to stay with him for a few more days. We had wonderful impressions not only from Lima but also from communicating with a pleasant and interesting person who knows the history of Peru.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and went out of their way to help with any requests.
The hotel had a beautiful atrium, a terrace on the 3rd floor with a great view of the city, and a very homeley living room, resplendent with bookshelves, and big, comfy armchairs.
The breakfast was really good too.
San Bartolo

The location for us was great, quiet street but still within walking distance to the market, restaurants, beach, etc. The staff were excellent in their service and in the cheerfulness to serve as well as very efficient. The owner as well as the staff were very welcoming and went out of their way to help us in any way we needed and giving us the information we sought.

The personnel was friendly and made sure everything went smoothly during our trip: they kept our bags for free after we checked out, organized a dinner on the first day even if the restaurant was about to close, booked our taxis to avoid "gringo prices" and provided insights on what to visit in Lima. Apart from that, the hotel amenities are clean, the room was great and allowed for a peaceful rest after our flight!

The staff were amazing from beginning to start. They helped us with several recommendations on places to go and things to eat in the city. The hotel itself was located on a quieter street, but was very walkable to both the chaotic heart of Miraflores and the calming beachside walk. The breakfast was beyond our expectations and had lots of options from fruit to eggs to tamales.
Janette was just lovely. Her husband even made us coffee early as we had to leave well before breakfast to head to the airport. Plenty of eating places around so if your just there as a quick stopover you don’t need to go far to eat dinner.

The room was quiet with a very comfortable bed. The room was clean, the wifi was quick, had opening windows. The towels were large and thick. The hotel was easy to get to from the airport and there were plenty of places nearby to eat dinner. I would definitely stay again if travelling through Lima.
The location was great, close to shopping which was a bonus. The breakfast and dinner was good, and although the rooms do need a bit of updating they were spacious and well set out. Would recommend and would stay again.
Location is so good! We can walk to lots of restaurents and beach. The breakfast is good, we all like passion fruit! But the room we stayed in the first night was so bad, the bathroom was so wet and so small, and the the wooden floor of the room is uneven and often noisy. I remember it is the innermost room on the 3rd floor.
Absolutely perfect hotel. 5 star quality without being pretentious. Former mansion turned into boutique hotel. Staff is great and very helpful. Breakfast is fantastic. Afternoon tea time was a hit with my wife. Rooms are big and well appointed. We spent 10 days in Peru and my wife's favorite thing she purchased on the trip was the stuffed toy Llama they leave in every room. We stayed at Hotel B at the beginning of our trip and every picture I took of her with her backpack on had the to llama in it
Carlos was a wonderful host and open to feedback on improving the facilities. He actually took us out for dinner to a nice place he knew.
