Excellent location right opposite the hot springs. Wonderful welcome by Debbie at reception who also gave us an orientation of the inn. Excellent kitchen facilities you can use if you want to. Very clean and well appointed room. Exceeded our expectations and very good value for money.
Nelson
At the inn, each room includes a balcony with a mountain view. Rooms are equipped with a kettle, while some rooms include a kitchen with a dishwasher, an oven and a microwave. At Maitai Whare Iti - Adventure Cabins & House every room comes with bed linen and towels. Spacious 2 bedroom lodge like house on the side of a hill in North Nelson. Super quiet with a gorgeous night sky. We stayed in the largest unit that had a full kitchen and laundry plus a large living room. A comfortable stop for the 4 of us after the bustle of Wellington. Stayed after taking the ferry to Picton and then driving through wine country. Mark is a great host!
Hokitika
Stations Inn is situated in Hokitika and has a garden and terrace. All rooms feature a kitchenette and a private bathroom with tiled walk-in shower.. The spacious rooms have a patio with views of the Southern Alps. The view was spectacular, could see the sun set perfectly over the most adorable little farm. The rooms were larger than expected. I loved our stay, Station Inn is a family run business and everyone we met was wonderful. They went over and above to make our stay memorable.
Dunedin

This facility is fantasticly luxurious. It has many exquisite amenities such as under-floor heating and large rain shower head in the shower, code keyless entry to our room and led lighting highlighting the exposed timber roof. I loved the heritage features of the Stables, right down to the original stone floors and walls and informative plaques about the Stables history. The communication of the staff was spot on and I loved the fact that they texted me each day to see if we needed any amenities refreshed. We had a comfortable, luxurious stay and we will definitely be staying here next time we are in Dunedin.

It was great to stay in a grand old Fedation style house, which has been loved and cared for and altered by its owner, Roger, to become a comfortable guest house with heaps of character. We loved the innovation and collection of older furniture and memorabilia. Breakfast on the verandah with its gorgeous view was brilliant- and we loved chatting with our host. This was a memorable stay!
Great location - sea views from the main bedroom and an easy walk to the beach, jetty and local tavern for dinner. Nice and warm, well-equipped unit, with night lights on the stairs, which was great for those late night bathroom stops.
Convenient location, very clean. Lovely innkeepers who came and picked us up at the ferry and took our bags back to the ferry!
Very nice innkeepers and big unit with a full kitchen, living room, etc. Although they were not required to, the innkeepers were kind enough to refund our second night when we chose to leave a day early.
The lodge had a lovely feel to it. The garden outside our room was beautiful. The room was large with a separate bedroom. The tavern next door was a plus to have dinner. Fiona was super friendly and allowed us to use her clothesline.
This is a real NZ country pub. Our room was called rustic, and it was - but also comfortable, clean, and very quaint. Breakfast was delicious, and dinner in the pub was exceptional - large servings of freshly prepared quality ingredients. The staff were so friendly and helpful- country hospitality!
Property had old world charm, cozy and welcoming, awesome view and very quiet location, walking distance to tavern for dinner and great facilities for eating in. Also walking distance to the point where we could see fur seals, awesome experience.
We booked here because I wanted to photograph the Moeraki Boulders at sunrise and it was very close. It was somewhere we would not have normally ventured to but were glad we did. We cooked our own dinner but there was a nearby tavern about 5 mins away and a fish and chip shop. Check in was very easy with a message prior to our arrival and an easily accessible locked box. The unit was very spacy and great value for the price. Would definitely stay here again if I was to return.
Fantastic location, easy access and off street parking. Nice cosy rooms and facilities. Excellent having the tavern next door for drinks, dinner and entertainment.
Lodge was very quiet, clean and comfortable. I have been very welcome, and check-in was quick and easy, despite my last minute booking. Location next to the tavern is good as there is not a lot of places to have dinner around (otherwise, I could have done it in the room, everything was available to cook).
