Just 10 miles from Bath and 14 miles from Bristol, Crown Inn at Tolldown offers stylish self-contained accommodation and a high-quality food menu. A 10-minute drive from the pretty town of Chipping Sodbury, this traditional south Gloucestershire inn provides free parking and WiFi. The staff was amazing, the bedroom was lovely and we couldn’t have asked for more. We would have loved to stay another night. Will stay here again if we come back.
Chepstow
Dating back to the 1600s, The Three Tuns is set overlooking Chepstow Castle. Retaining its charming original features, the inn offers traditional accommodation, live music on weekends, homemade food and a pretty beer garden. Our room was a little shabby, but knowing that this room was built 70 years after Henrik VIII chopped the heads of his wife s makes it understandable. So 10 points overall.

Everything was great as always, staff are extremely helpful. With travelling for work we spend more time at the guest house than we do our own homes and all of our staff are more than happy to keep retuning, choosing to stay at the guest house over premier inn's!
Dinner was very nice, albeit rather expensive. Breakfast was. Excellent. Bed very comfortable indeed and the views of Clifton Suspension Bridge superb.
Historic inn but modern accommodation at the rear
This hotel is located in an unrivalled position and the attention and service we received during our stay was exemplary. We had a wonderful dinner overlooking the gorge and the Clifton Suspension Bridge as the sun went down. Breakfast the next day was really good too. Our room was super comfortable with a fabulous view. Thank you for a perfect stay.

We had a room with a view of the Clifton suspension Bridge. The room was acceptably large and had a view, and the shower was exceptionally good. It was a long walk to the room and included changes of level in quite dark corridors. The dinner and breakfast were both very good in terms of quality, quantity and helpfulness of the staff. There was a very large terrace which was used by both hotel visitors and others, that added a bit of atmosphere in the evening.
Usaly stay in Orem Inn but this time thoight try something different,and so glad we did ,Was lovey location, parking very close Slept so well ,me and my son loved it ,got our steps in with the walking too ☺️ Definitely stay again 😊 Tracy was lovey and Ash the doggy was stunning Tracy was lovey , helpful and lovey talking to ,lovey taking time with my son who has special needs had the time to talk too Great location, deffo check this guest house out if Ur staying in Bristol 👌
We loved the look and rustic feel of the Inn. The meals were excellent and the evening staff who served us dinner were fantastic. The breakfast was huge! The room was very comfortable and spacious.
Everything was excellent - location, rooms, dinner and breakfast. It’s 20 minutes drive from the airport so not suitable for airport parking but I do recommend the Airport Tavern parking option.
