Situated in Gatehouse of Fleet, Masonic Arms Gatehouse is 49 km from Dumfries and Galloway Golf Club and features various facilities, such as a garden, a restaurant and a bar. Very comfortable bed, large shower. The hotel also provided us with a steamer as they knew we were going to attend the wedding. Very sweet girl at the breakfast (for additional price but massive portions)

The Harbour Inn features a garden, restaurant, a bar and tennis court in Garlieston. The property is non-smoking and is set a few steps from Garlieston Beach. The view, the vibe, the staff and the food are all excellent. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Perfect stop for a few nights.

Set in Kirkcowan, Craighlaw Arms Boutique B&B has a garden, shared lounge, bar, and free WiFi. The inn features family rooms. At the inn, rooms are fitted with a desk and a flat-screen TV. This is a building that was a hotel in 1711. We love staying in old lodgings like this. It is in a quiet little village within a short drive of many attractions. The host, Debbie, was wonderful and spoke of local sites to see.

Situated 11 km from Caerlaverock Castle, The Farmers Inn offers 2-star accommodation in Dumfries and has a terrace, a bar and water sports facilities. Our stay at The Farmer's Inn was excellent. The room was brand new, very clean and comfortable. We had dinner at the pub and, having French standards, the meal was unexpectedly delicious. So was the breakfast. Our best accommodation during our road trip in Scotland

Nithsdale Hotel ligger i hjertet av Sanquhar på A76, halvveis mellom Dumfries og Kilmarnock. WiFi er gratis på hele hotellet, og du kan parkere avgiftsfritt på baksiden. Nice and pretty rooms with a big bed. Especially the bathroom with its whirlpool bathtub and amazing shower. Personnel very friendly and helpful. We travelled with a dog and baby and had a great stay!

This friendly, family-run inn offers a mix of well-equipped rooms and en suite chalets. The Thistle Inn has a reputation for hospitality that brings back valued guests year after year. The lovely welcome from Sandy. He made us very welcome. We went to the cenotaph to pay our respects and the pipes and drums where lovely. Stranraer is a lovely place.

The Crown Hotel is situated in Newton Stewart in picturesque Wigtownshire, in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway. It features a restaurant and elegant rooms with original features. The service was unmatched, every member of staff were helpful, efficient and friendly, they couldn't do enough for you. The restaurant menu was great - a lot of variety especially with the specials menu changing frequently too. Breakfast was also a winner, continental and a full Scottish breakfast if you wanted (you could pick as many or as less items as wanted). The hotel is more than 300 years old so it was lovely staying somewhere that holds a small amount of history.

Denne 280 år gamle skysstasjonen i hjertet av New Galloway har koselige rom med egne bad, "real ale", et godt utvalg av maltwhisky og en populær restaurant med lokale råvarer. Lovely old hotel in the middle of the village. I called in & asked if I could drop off heavy rucksack & the proprietor Susan said I could check in early. She was very nice to chat with & so helpful. Comfy room & bed, good shower. Everything I needed. Big breakfast. I had a great walk down to Kenmure Castle - fascinating, spooky place in beautiful surroundings (see my photo). Could have very happily stayed for a week!
