Located in the heart of the city of Wellington,The Marion Hostel offers a range of backpacker accommodation and features a rooftop terrace. Everything was perfect, the place was really comfortable, clean and cozy with very good sunlight everywhere, and people, both staff and guests were very kind, easy to access by public transport. I loved it. Next time I´ll be longer.

Discover the vibrant pulse of New Zealand’s capital at Haka House Wellington! The location is quite superb if you're relying on public transport - it's a few minutes away from Courtenay Place, which is a major bus stop; it is also right in front of a large supermarket. The room I was in was small, but appropriately sized for 2 beds, as opposed to the room I had in Auckland within the same chain. Luckily I didn't share the room with anyone else, but even if I had, there would have still been plenty of space. I only used the kitchen and lounge to fill up my water bottle, but the space looked spacious and well-equipped. But otherwise there were plenty of restaurants on a wide range of budget. The staff were friendly and helpful too.

Set in Wellington and with Wellington Zoo reachable within 3.5 km, House of Tawatawa offers a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a shared lounge. First of all, the location is awesome. You can hang out on the balcony, looking at the mountains forever. Next, the owner, Shaun, is a very approachable and chill guy. On top of that, when I arrived there were some people living there for a longer time. These were the most amazing people I met so far on my trip, very social and helpful and fun to hang out with. It felt like a big family, even tho I was only there for 3 days. I honestly wish I could stay here longer.

It was a really good place to stay. The environment was clean and tidy. The staff were all friendly!! Wish I could stay there longer

Hotel Waterloo & Backpackers offers budget accommodation in the centre of Wellington. It features a 24-hour guest kitchen, self-service laundry facilities and a games room with pool tables. Staff were great and knowledgeable and helped point us in the right direction for public transportation. The rooms were cleaned and maintained well

The 19th-century The Cambridge Hotel offers accommodation in the heart of Wellington’s city centre, just 3 minutes’ walk from the Courtenay Place entertainment district. The beautiful wallpaper, the cleanliness, comfy bed and great location.

Located in the heart of the city, Nomads Capital Backpackers offers 5-star backpackers accommodation. It is a 5-minute walk from Wellington's stunning waterfront. The property was clean and fresh looking. I loved the little courtyard in the back with the mural on it’s wall. It was nice and central too.
