The 19th-century The Cambridge Hotel offers accommodation in the heart of Wellington’s city centre, just 3 minutes’ walk from the Courtenay Place entertainment district. Favorite was the giant kitchen and dining area, great amount of space and clean. Tons of rooms but tons of bathrooms in a long hallway. Beds were good, a bit squeaky but comfortable. Old style building was cool.

Located in the heart of the city, Nomads Capital Backpackers offers 5-star backpackers accommodation. It is a 5-minute walk from Wellington's stunning waterfront. Good room, nice bed, affordable. Nothing fancy, but better than I expected for the price.
