Worldwide Backpackers is located in central Wellington, a 10-minute walk from bars, restaurants and vibrant nightlife on Courtenay Place. Awesome place to stay, hosts were friendly and the place was clean. Comfortable beds and nice facilities. Will definitely stay again

Trek Global features 4 communal guest kitchens and a barbecue area. It is a 10-minute walk from Wellington’s CBD and Wellington Waterfront. Free unlimited WiFi is provided. The people working there were super friendly. I especially liked the female only floor (highest level). The hostel also offers free towels and complementaries like shampoo, a soap bar and a vanity set.

This was my first hostel stay, and I was pleasantly shocked. I expected a run-down, outdated dump, but I loved staying here! The rich history of the structure is respected and preserved, yet everything pertaining to comfort has been nicely updated and modernized—beautiful washroom, comfy beds and pillows. The pub next door is gorgeous, and the breakfast special was so good, and what a great value! I was actually a little sad to leave. My daughter and I were able to store our luggage in a locker, no charge, while we explored downtown Wellington.

The 19th-century The Cambridge Hotel offers accommodation in the heart of Wellington’s city centre, just 3 minutes’ walk from the Courtenay Place entertainment district. Favorite was the giant kitchen and dining area, great amount of space and clean. Tons of rooms but tons of bathrooms in a long hallway. Beds were good, a bit squeaky but comfortable. Old style building was cool.

Located in the heart of the city, Nomads Capital Backpackers offers 5-star backpackers accommodation. It is a 5-minute walk from Wellington's stunning waterfront. The hostel and hotel sections are distinct enough that, even when the hostel is full of student groups and tours, you can sleep soundly upstairs in the rooms and suites. The kitchen is a bit utilitarian but spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Fantastic location for walking the city.
