L'ostello Finlay Jack's Backpackers occupa una posizione ideale di Taupo e offre dormitori con letti singoli. The bed bunks are the best! very comfy mattress, lovely privacy curtain and enough space for your stuff. The stairs to te top bunks is big (block of wood) so not painful like most. The chill area in the middle was very nice, kitchen as big, the dog was cool and the staff is the best! I stayed here again on my way back for 4 nights and told all my travel friends to book here.

Based by the Lake is a 18+ hostel offering accommodation centrally located in Taupo, just minutes from the lake. Location was close to the lake, the food, the supermarket, everything. Amenities (kitchen and laundry) were clean and well thought out. Enjoyed the girls only dorm with the extra perk of a private balcony.
